This weeks course was garbage. Sorry but had to say it. The course itself was ok, but I am so sick of EVERY round being 15mph winds to deal with. Its not realistic, and the erratic behavior of the ball, when it is maybe a 1 degree of center, but still in the cone, only makes it worse.
To the people shooting -35, how you are doing that, with this kind of wind, is beyond me. I didn't miss a cone the entire tourny, and still was in the rough nearly 40% of the time because of the wind.

Wind is just another adjustment you need to make, while you're in the cone you must be close to the edges a lot if you're hitting rough so often. I hit pretty straight but I know I slice more often if I don't so I leave more room on the right of the fairway.

To the people shooting -35, how you are doing that, with this kind of wind, is beyond me. I didn't miss a cone the entire tourny, and still was in the rough nearly 40% of the time because of the wind. I'm not sure I understand. The course is garbage, but the course is ok, it's the wind that is terrible. Wind is set by the tour not the designer. Yes, playing in 15+MPH winds is more difficult than with no wind, but not impossible. The best players have it down to a science - how many clicks of adjustment for how many MPH of wind, with x lie, and y up/down hill to the green. They still have to make the shot just like everyone else though. Some players are just better than others. I will shoot in the low 60s every day and then blow up with a 73 once and a while. The best players never blow up because, well, they're better. I'm -13 through two rounds and thrilled to be there because of some poor play on the front 9. If I had gotten par instead of, well, way worse on a couple of holes each round, I would be on the first page of the leaderboard. Consistency is what the best players have that we do not. This week's course has a few issues, for sure, but low scores can be had. The issues I have are with a few pins (I've played 2 rounds) with yellow very nearby or tucked into an area that just isn't accessible. Another thing I noticed was a par 3 green that had a back tier lower than the front tier. On a shorter hole this is not an issue, but if you have to hit a 5 or 6 iron in there (the hole is 180+), there's almost no way to stop the ball near the hole if it's back there. The course is beautiful and well designed, but a nit-picky player (like me and many others) can find more than a few faults. No course is perfect, and for sure, the higher your score, the more critical of a course you will be (you meaning players, not quoted member).

As far as playing in windy conditions, I personally don't play off to the side and let the wind bring it back except sometimes on tee shots using the driver. I never do it going for the green. If you play fades or draws on purpose by using the in-game adjustment tool and hit inside the cone on a regular basis then you can play alot like the guys your talking about. If you have a 10 mph wind blowing straight left, play a fade shot for what you would think would be about a 10 mph wind going right. Play it correctly and you will be going straight at the hole. Try this on a wide fairway to get a good idea of the counter adjustments for the amount of windy conditions. Before long you will be smiling ear to ear because you will notice how many fairway bunkers you are not in anymore. Btw, take into account the higher flying short irons when going at the greens. Good luck.

If this leaderboard ends up being final in the next couple hours, I will have secured an exemption to B on THE LAST PUTT OF THE TOURNAMENT. I missed a really makeable putt on 1 and 17, and 1 or 2 more on a couple others i think, hit a ball in the water on 7 (bogey) and 8 (saved par), and blew up 11 in where hit back to back shots into a bunker. Kinda hope this stays final to have a shot at staying in B next week, but at the same time I don't think I deserve the exemption..

Scores are not supposed to come thru anymore as of 4-5 hours ago. Nice job!

So I decided to start playing the tours again...
aced the 2nd hole in round 1. That’s a good sign!
scores: R1 -7 R2 +1 R3 -2 R4 +1
Total of -7
If I could only learn how to putt, I’d be pretty good at this game

Better change my profile picture to Taylor Swift’s album cover, because I’m about to keep my reputation of the CC’s whiny b*tch... This course is unplayable because of lag. The majority of the round I was at around 15 FPS. There were two holes where my frame rate barely made it to 10. And if it weren’t for those two holes, I’d be rather close to the lead. SCORES R1 -6 R2 -7 R3 +1 R4 -8 Total: -20 In round 3, basically nothing went my way, aside from my eagle on 18. I almost made albatross on hole 4... but of course, like Jacob Kessler does, I missed an 8 footer for eagle and made birdie... sigh I also 4-putted 5, so there’s that. Lastly, I’m sorry, but this is ridiculous on a long par 4: Can’t wait to get away from this course

Playing in wind is all about feel and knowing your clubs. Just like real golf.
With woods I'd go one click for each MPH of wind. BUT I'd also take in to account the loft of my club. Ie, if I was playing a nine iron with a 10mph wind then I'd click 10 times then maybe add another 4 clicks. Also, take into account your natural draw or fade and the slope that you're playing on.
These are all factors that you need to allow for on a real course. It's a simulator, not Tiger woods. It's supposed to be close to real life.

Yep. Course very laggy. I've played three rounds and have had noticeable lag each round. I can't blame that for my awful scores, but it's there. This course should be a piece of cake, but it's giving me trouble. Also, there were a few questionable hole locations, most notably the one below. A bad pin will creep past playtesting every once and a while, so I'm not really blaming anyone. This hole location is not the worst I've seen, but it does go against the general guidelines. Again, not the reason for my s@#$tty scores.

Actually found scoring quite tough this week. Struggling to get close to pins and greens are quite tricky. Just one of those weeks I guess, some courses suit better than others. Not found the lag, 1 or 2 tough pins, but not anything too unfair in the 3 rounds I played. Maybe 1 on a big slope, but mostly hard but fair.
