Rd 3
I'm seeing a trend in my scoring that is not in my favor.
Even on the front, rallied on the back to shoot -6 66.
62, 64 then 66. Keep this pattern up and I will miss the exemption. Bright side? Strikes cleared unless I totally self-implode.
Onward!

I just don't think I'll ever figure out how the swing works in this game. I feel like I do the same thing and sometimes it's fast/perfect and sometimes it's perfect/slow. It's super frustrating.
That being said, I'm going to pick up strikes 3 and 4 this week by a few strokes. It's super frustrating that I manage the course well but since the swing is so off, I can't convert.
Guess I'll be fighting to stay CC-Pro next week.

I still have fun with the game aside from the tempo. I've learned to deal with the roll outs and I'm definitely okay with the swings that get a bit left or right scattered. We shall see what next week brings.

Round 4
Tentative but effective start, birdies on 1,3 and 5 on a clean card. -3 at the turn.
Heated up on the back, birdie binge on 11 thru 14. -7, can see the exemption within grasp.
Par on 15...I felt par was a good score on all the par 3 hole on this course.
-7 for the first three rounds on the final 3 holes, looks like I should be able to get two birdies and clinch that ticket to try CC-B.
Drive on 16 is 307, lands me in the cent of the fairway. Pin is front section of the green, still reachable.
Pull out the 5 wood. Good swing. Lands short, water.
No problem. Take the 3 wood out. "Not the cleanest of contact" OH SHUT UP JOHN! More of the same. Hello Mr. Snowman, good by CC-B.
Birdie on the last seals a -5 round and a -29 tourney. Clean slate of strikes, but OH what might have been.

Augusta is one course I do not like playing maybe one day it'll grow on me. Started off with 2 birdies on the first 4 holes, then bogied the 5th and double bogied the 6th. Regained my composure with 3 pars through 7-9.
Bogied 10 then double bogied 11, flop shot from the bunker on the 11th was horrendous. Parred 12, then eagle, birdie and birdie before getting par on the last 3. Finished even par, thank god I got my tour card last week or I'd be dropping down.

Seems CC-C is harder then CC-B this round. I would be in 1st in CC-B but 3rd in CC-C with -11

I'm under par each round so far, so I'll take it. I've birdied 11 and 12 both days which is nothing short of a miracle. We'll see how it goes for rounds 3 and 4...

I love the Masters and playing courses that replicate Augusta National, but they do not love me back.
+5 after 2 rounds, but +7 on #16. Second round was particularly cruel.

Being under par on that course is a feat all it's own. Love that I'm gonna have to tackle this might course to try and stay in CC-Pro. Love a good challenge.
Good luck to everyone this week.

I'm +5 after 2 rounds as well, 2nd round was a killer +5 with too many shots coming up short and rolling back to me. I'm not a fan of Augusta, fast and undulating greens and iron shots that still roll more than they should make it hard. Add to that my inexperience of putting on fast greens makes it worse. I will plod through the last 2 rounds and hope to pick up a knack of putting along with the 2 strikes.

So we aren't playing the classic version of this course ported over from TGC1?
If that's true, you're saying there's a chance.
