Hope everyone enjoyed all the 500 yard par 4s today. Think I had 3 chip-ins.

BTW, adding in my personal coins I can donate, we're within 10k of hitting level 10. If I don't suck at adding, the 55 event season cap will allow us to get in a full 2 week schedule after this week, ending with a weekend open as the 55th event (which I will make a major).

Week 7 schedule:
Bloody Monday: TPC Edgemere True Sim Tuesday: Columbia Pines Golf Club (Gold Tees) White Wednesday: Aengus Rock GC (Pin Set 4) Odd Thursday: Mission to Mars 2 Black Friday: Erin Links Weekend Open: Wanderers Club @ Whistling Isle
We're just a few thousand away from level 10 if I donate my own. At the moment I only have the Monday & Tuesday events set up because the event cap at level 9 is 45. Rest will be set up once we have the cash to level up, which should probably happen within the next 24 hours.

My own society is level 6 all self funded. I think your members need to get off their friggin wallets and chip in.

In any case, I didn't want the entry fees to be excessive, so we're doing 200 for weekday events and 500 for weekend events with a 50% purse (which will change to 100% purse once we hit level 10). Regardless, it's working out perfectly, that we'll hit level 10 just before we hit the event cap at level 9.

Yo, so I accidentally set fees contributed to purse to 0% instead of 100%. So I fixed it for the weekend event and added a small bonus purse. Final event of the season will have a BIG bonus purse. EDIT: Y'know, considering I won two events this week and am leading in today's event, my mistake mostly just served to screw over myself.

Blech, damn front 9 yips again, happens every time I play a multi-round event. Doesn't even matter if I warm up, I shot a 61 at Quail Hollow in high winds and then came in and went -1 through 9 on this. Finished with a 66 in the first round despite missing a 4 foot par putt on 18.

Since this week finishes up the courses submitted for the summer showdown, we'll be casting a wider net for the new season. My goal is to not have to repeat courses, and I do think there's enough in the database for that. While I'll be certainly scouring the forums and the course database for options, I welcome all suggestions (even your own courses).
Can particularly use suggestions for Odd Thursday events. Probably going to use the other 9-hole par 3 course SAM published in the first week of next season, but it's tough finding courses that fit the bill. It can be any course that is notably unconventional - whether that's a 9-hole and/or par 3 course, or a mini-golf course, or a course with an unusual aesthetic theme (like we did with Valley of the Kings and Mission to Mars 2).

Whew, bunker-fest out there for me today on Brookledge. Think I left everything short on my approach shots. Could have still been a decent round if not for a double bogey due to a fast bunker shot and a triple bogey due to some water, and a couple short putts I missed, ended up with a 70.

Ah, another 4-round event, another first round where I shoot myself in the foot. Went 65/57 in the first two rounds. I WAS -6 through 8 in the third round but I missed par putts on 9 and 10 from like 12 and 6 feet, so I think that about kills my chances at a win here.
EDIT: actually managed to go -8 over the last 8 to pull myself to a 58. Had a chance in the final round to take the lead but I missed 4 birdie putts inside 10 feet and put it in the water on 12. Lipped out like 3 20-25 foot birdie putts too. Shot a 64. Ended up shooting -36, >80% fairways, >80% GIR, 1.35 putts per hole.
