Never gamed on PC ever so bare with me!
Ive got a decent Toshiba Laptop that maybe/hopefully I'll be able to use purely for designing only, watching all the feeds of PC designing and the speeds that everything happens at is starting to eat at me so I think it's what I need to look at getting into (not to mention file sharing and collaborations, if someone will carry me that is haha)
Is it possible to get TGC/Steam on laptop?
Cheers in advance guys

Unless it's a very old one, you shouldn't have any problem. If the hardware meets the requirements, you should be good to go

Google canirunit on the laptop and do the performance test. Then you'll know for sure

HUGE difference in designing on the laptop versus console. Unless you laptop is pretty old you should have no issues with Steam. May need to do a benchmark test with the game though.

But I assume (haven't owned a PC for a few years) that if you're running W8 or W10, steam should run nicely

I just installed Win 10 on my Mac using Bootcamp and TGC runs fairly well on it. I think on a native PC you should have no problem.

It comes down to your GPU more than anything. My laptop features an integrated Intel GPU 4400 (?) and TGC runs, but poorly. I don't encounter crashes, but doing anything takes several seconds. Designing on PS4 is actually a more pleasant experience... until the crashing begins.
A moderately powered GPU by AND or NVidia should be fine. My laptop was not built with gaming in mind at all. It was meant to run business software.

Google canirunit on the laptop and do the performance test. Then you'll know for sure Did the performance test, meet minimum requirements which is good, suggested upgrading video card, I have an AMD Radeon HD 7670M. Also suggested upgrading CPU from Intel(R) Core(TM) i5-3210M @ 2.5GHz to the i5-750. Wont be doing that as I'll only be designing with maybe the occasional round or 2, I'll see how it goes

Worst case scenario (I think) will be that you don't see much improvement in performance over the ps4. Just guessing though. Good luck!
