DESIGNING ... LOL. That's my problem with designing.
Just kidding, I'm better at designing than playing ... I know, that's not saying much!
On the serious side, everybody, and I do mean everybody learns something new with every course they build. As you learn the courses get better. If you think you know all there is to know, well then, sorry my friend, you are full of ****.

-light bush usages (love getting into the bush, but prefer it to be trimmed down) Just double-checking... we are still talking 'bout TGC, right?

My weakness is designing with the single play player in mind. Specifically with green design which i tend to go a bit crazy with. I always build my greens with many different sections to make the holes play different with different pins. For someone just playing a single round they might seem kind of crazy. I think my next course I will try to do a set of greens that are less severe. I also don't think I could design a course from a blank slate. I tend to use the land as inspiration. I'm also not the most meticulous designer, my process is not linear in nature, I tend to hack away at a hole adding chunks of fairway, expanding the greens until it feels right versus planning ahead and executing the first time round. My prcoess lends itself to more rugged looking courses.

My weakness?
Accepting that I belong nowhere near the GNCD.

My weakness? Accepting that I belong nowhere near the GNCD. I've accepted that it's not for me

I would say the sculpting for me. I have 2 RCR ready to be sculpt but too overwhelmed to begin. I have been messing around on a blank flat course but just can make the land flow. I think it is because I dont do enough layering. When I do bunkers I slowly sculpt 2 or 3 inches at a time to get the smooth look. I suppose I could do the same but in feet instead.
AS for hole design I have been blanking lately so troll Golf courses online and hope they have a good hole by hole and go from there. Makes it a little easier when I run out of ideas
