Welcome back Chris, great to see your return and the return of the Irish team championship. I love these team events. My favourite moment, when some poor unfortunate discovers that they have me as a partner, the soul crushing moment when they see their name next to mine, when they fall to their knees in despair and scream at the golfing gods, why me. This time Anthony MaDonald, come on down, it's dark down here, so very dark. Anyway, round one started fine, I even kept up with Tony and Brian for nine holes, the back nine, a different story, bad choices, bad bounces and general bad luck and all my good work was undone, 4 under for round one. i thought it was very cruel of me to give Anthony false hope with my front nine on round one. That glimmer of light, the possibility of a team victory before the light was snuffed out by the encroaching darkness of defeat. It was a little mean, so on round two I ground that hope to dust from the get go. I played so badly on the greens, no matter the distance, I missed. A shocking 2 under. Sorry Anthony, I do play well at times, just not today, hopefully you will see the better side of my game at some stage. 1) -4 2) -2 total -6 Hahaha great post mate, sure it is only a bit of fun and to be honest I feel more sorry for you getting me as your partner. I'm just back off a 3 month break and I'm hacking with 2out of 2 missed cuts and a top 15 in a minor... the aul swing is like a rusty gate and my putting is tragic at the moment. Hopefully I won't let you down

The efforts of some to ruin this??? Mmmmmh sounds juicy Tony. You have me intrigued. Please spill the beans and speak your mind ;-) ( he writes as he's bored in work, and waits anxiously for the drama to unfold) ;-) haha Might having something to do with our friend Perving R Levine What Smurf said nantez88 couldn't put it any better

It's all fun for me as well, so don't worry about how you play. The first Irish team championship was great, everyone's attitude was spot on, so a little fun in the posts just add to it, good luck in your rounds.

Performance is important but having humour behind it is key..

Started great (for me anyway!) and was -9 after 12 in the first round, then a savage 4 putt on 13 ended my chances of a good score! Then on the second round my putting was atrocious, I'd still have missed if the holes were as big as buckets! -7 -5 -12 overall

Just played my rounds there, two cracking courses again, that's what I love about these comps, a great bit of fun and you get to play a load of gem courses along the way. I played well on the 1st course and could have been a couple better. Putted terribly in the second round well just seemed to be above the hole all the time with sliders that I narrowly missed so couldn't put a dent in smurf's score unfortunately, sorry partner Fergus Mc Donald Team 2 R1 -11 R2 -7 Total -18
