This link only informed me that steve aka boomboom won a pga event here. There must be a cheat code somewhere on this course lol

I put my vote on The Breakers. For me that's a worthy course for the title. Tye Dunes had a much better tour setup though so had that been on the list it would have been a clear winner. Tye Dunes hosted two of the most successful events (web and pga) on tour this year.

Cheers guys, Tye Dunes probably had a better chance than Royal Brumby but for me I do actually prefer Brumby and can't complain about the company. The Breakers probably gets my vote, love that course

The fact that Tye Dunes is NOT on this list is very disappointing. It is hands down the best course this year, period. I would ask Doyley to consider write ins!! Tye DUNES!

Btw.
Just an Observation here. Only Royal Ballylough, Massara and Smuggler's Loch played on tour as a Medium firm course under the new regulations right? Magnolia had 2 pin-sets where 1 was medium, but I'll assume the nomination went because on the Masters?

An observation from me... I believe this years winner was also last years winner? I know it was updated so not technically the same. But I didn't consider it to get my vote based off the fact that it was an update to an existing course and not a brand new one. I guess that wasn't part of the criteria but for me personally I would like this award to have been 'Best course created in the last year'. Well actually I'd like to see 'Best RCR' and 'Best Fictional Course' awards in the future. No one can deny that Magnolia is the king of RCRs and tbh it is going to win the course of TGC1 award. But the work put into an RCR is both insane and entirely different to the work done on a fictional course. No fictional course will ever beat Magnolia in the publics eyes, but does that mean that they should be left to pick up the award scraps? So, in conclusion, in my eyes rod81simo just won 'Fictional course of 2016'... well done mate

I'm compiling a list for the Designers part just because I thought i'd be fun and there has been a lot of fantastic courses played on Tour 2016 that was made during season 1. If whats been played on tour isn't part of the criteria I think it's bonkers that remakes gets the nod.

I never thought of it that way, and given that these are the tours it probably should be best course played this year. This site has kinda become more than just tours though... it is THE TGC fan site
