Don't mistake passion for implosion.
The Europee-ons believe that because they are top heavy they are better. Certainly the Euros are formidable. Certainly we are taking this VERY seriously. But I promise you the US is better 6-18 than the Europeans. it is for those reasons that the captains picks were extremely competitive and difficult this year. The difference between 6-18 is razor thin. If this was an 18 person event we would be the solid favorites.
I was forced to leave 3-4 players off our team that would have made the Euro squad.

After much discussion, and review, the final US Ryder cup captain's pick will be:
Daniel Coates
Daniel had a great year and has played well of late. The combination of consistency, veteran leadership and good recent play makes him the perfect addition to this team.
Welcome Daniel.
I promise you this was an extremely hard decision. The names of people we reviewed were extensive and Irving and I could write a short but riveting book.
The US players are deep and talented and I suspect we will give the European's hell.
Let the games begin. Oooooh Controversial. I love it!!!

Controversial because the depth of US golf is much greater than the depth of the Euro golf. I knew we had a few really good golfers that would get left off. But I feel good about this; Euros might want to look over their shoulder

Good try Brian. Dale supports this team, and if he was not upset about being left off I would be concerned. The Americans "WANT" this.... We have nothing to lose... how can we beat the great Ian Sweeney, oh woah is us.... he is just too good for us... boo hoo...
Time to dance boyz

But I feel good about this; Euros might want to look over their shoulder One look at the WGR would suggest that this isn't true. But hey, we're about to find out The only reason this is "controversial" is because the guy who missed out wrote en essay detailing why he should have been picked. Personally i can see why he feels a bit aggrieved but if you don't qualify automatically you're always running the risk of missing out....

Time to dance boyz I'm 100% behind all of the US players and our captains to get the job done against the Euro team. I've seen some top-heavy things in life much like the Euro team, but then you sadly find out they are fake and a bad attempt to try to make up for their other glaring weaknesses.

I was forced to leave 3-4 players off our team that would have made the Euro squad. Thanks for the motivational message to our players that you believe are not better than your 6th through 18th, nothing like a good press clipping to get them even more fired up.
Not sure what message you're telling you're alleged 1-5 though that they aren't better than the Euro's.
Confused about the "Top Heavy" comment though as I don't see any similarities with Lindsey Dawn. Having 11 of your team in the Top 20 WGR compared to 6 is the only thing I can think of as being top heavy.
