Hi,
& sorry for re-opening a debate when the original thread was closed - but it was only open for 2.5 days and I didn't spot it until too late. That's a pretty small window of oppurtunity to register thoughts for semi-engaged members (tho I understand why Doyley locked it). When it goes to a wider vote I don't think it'll make it... but the intention of the idea is good.
Here's an alternative to chew over which does address the underlying "Ian Sweeney + Top10" issue without breaking the TGCT mirroring RL model that has served it so well....
Top N must play alternate weeks in the two current Elite tours, PGA/Euro. That gives 2 chances a month for those outside the Top N to get some wins.
Top10-15 seems to be the problem as stated by Doyley - therefore I approached the problem with the principle that the solution should just target those members, without killing their enjoyment too.
Cheers, Paul

To be clear - I just had an idea that didn't break current model too much. I'd be in favour of not changing at all when vote comes... but if change does happen, I'd rather options that don't break current model excessively are considered.

Brian, it is really becoming clear that you have an inability to make any constructive comments on this subject and your replies have gone beyond disrespectful. You may be a very good player at TGC, but you are arrogant and narcissistic to the point of nausea. If you can't keep the discussion civil, please don't participate.

Why would anyone want a watered down win? If you can't compete in PGA or Euro there's Web, CC, The HB Suggested tournaments. This game provides numerous opportunities for improving your play...some take it others don't...but don't penalize the top players for being the best.

Cheers, Paul I will give some counterpoint. The problem with this is that the Top 10/15 are fairly equal among the PGA and Euro number-wise. Alternating them means that you get roughly the same number in that WGR each week, its just that the names change. It actually might be counterproductive come year end playoff time as it would offer more opportunities for those most likely to win to have a win on both tours (a win on PGA or Euro is a condition to make the year end playoffs if you do not hold that tour card) and have enough events to qualify (Currently the Euro Tour has a 12 event minimum participation to make the Last playoff event on that Tour).

Thank you for the first reasoned sensible response on the subject Bob (aside from David who also made a reasoned sensible point). Your point is valid - so I should clarify. I was actually thinking that the Top N would alternate as a block - so week 1 Euro's get the Top N in their event, week 2 PGA's get the Top N in their event. Would that make you reconsider your counterpoint?
