Like i said a few mins ago, players who cant compete on PGA or EURO and want to be able to feel competitive should take a demotion or 2 to find their level. That's kinda unfair to those Web folks who may want to get to the PGA/Euro but now have to contend with a flood of players who made it to the PGA/Euro... True but u cud argue any structural change is unfair on someone. Its about finding the right balance. Plus this wil be comin in for tgc 2 when there will be a new q school if imagine.

Better idea Leave everything the way it is and give PGA & EURO players who feel they cant compete an option to volutary demote themselves. Stockpile the web with these players and let the quality trickle down the CC. The players who want things like "elite" tours or throwin all the top players in 1 tour so they hav a chance of winning dont deserve the title of a PGA or EURO player IMO. So if u wanna have a chance of winnin or competin and u cant do it on PGA or EURO then take a relegation or 2 and find a level where u are competitive. Players will not (for the most part) demote themselves. It needs to be forced.

Your going to have to make a level above the elite level just for me next season as I will be back at it and I can't honestly see small fry like Ian wanting to play for second every week

That would be the fairest way. Give everyone a 2-4 weeks practice and new Q-school.

Ian, don't you understand what the problem is? They have to make the children happy or they'll pick up their toys and go play some other game. . Okay so I'm trying to guess the average age of all those who play The Golf Club...but I'm guessing there aren't many children playing? I'll not hold my breath waiting for you to apologise to all the "children" who may have an opinion which differs from yours!! What a stupid "childish" thing to say.

Is the current system broken?
Because if it isn't broken don't fix it!

No, what's childish is players feeling that they have a "right" to win. I don't have a snow ball's chance in hell of ever beating any of the guys in the top 50. Hell, I may never even make it to the PGA. But I still think this is a HORRIBLE idea that simply stinks with self entitlement.

Forced demotions on the PGA and European tour are ideas I have toyed with in the past but shelved them due to our "earn a pro tour card you keep it even through struggles" stance.
Voluntary demotions are in place currently but rarely used.
I don't mind moving away from the statement in quotes and find a balance where poor play over a period of time drops you down and replaces you with a golfer that's playing better. That accomplishes the main goal of keeping the top tours stocked with the best Golfers.
