For you good Australians out there I'm thinking of having a crack at barnbugle dunes, it may take me six months or so but I think it will be fun having a crack at RCR for the first time, hardest part will be getting the thick grass and bunkers correct and then just have to hope that the wind blows 60knots like it does in real life,
Personally it's the hardest course I have ever played I'm currently playing off 1 and the first time I played it I walked off with an 82 best 82 I have ever had,
Anyways I'll pop back in with updates

So I have roughly mapped out the course for barnbugle using google Maps and course fly over from the web site, but I'm having difficulty fitting the course into the area, as the course is 9 holes 1 side and 9 the other it's very difficult to fit, I have moved the course to diagonal across the area of GNCD to try and fit it, I'll continue to try my best to fit it in, but at this stage it may not be possible

Definitely one of my real-life bucket list courses.

cheers mate this would be a great course to do and lost farm next door as well
Its down the bottom of oz . i am in qld, i watched an interview with the land owner, he is a farmer, i think there were crops growing on this site, when he decided to make courses on it.
He has other farms and he was a hotel manager, he is a clever man, his kids help run the courses and his other farms. i have been down there and tasmania is a prestine island, the huon pine is an awesome timber and they made boats and furniture out of it in the old days- the timber, rivers are so amazing , alot great history down there, its still is like going back in time
Beautiful country and amazing places and things to see.
There was a member attempting to create barnbougle dunes, way back a few years ago when tgc first started outm he lives not far from me, but he didnt go ahead so if you plan on doing it well this would be atreat
Thank you mate

Good luck mate. As you know (based on your comments on my thread) my Kentash Dunes was inspired by some of Barnbougle's holes. I wasn't game enough to try an RCR because I think the assets in the game aren't right but I wish you all the best and will look forward to playing it.
I'm also finding with my current Aussie-based course for the CC Design comp that many Aussie style courses are hard to do without gum trees. At least you don't have that issue with Barnbougle!

I can't WAIT to see it! The Dunes at Barnbougle is one of my all-time favorite courses in the world. Anyone who hasn't, check out the course flyovers- done by drone - on the website. Every single hole, gorgeous videos. An absolutely gorgeous links course. Can't wait to play this when you are done! Here's the link: The Dunes at Barnbougle
