Olympic Tournament will run during W44 - there will not be a qualifying tournament

Field

• 60 player Field
• Field will be pulled from WGR following W42
  
• The top-30 WGR will be eligible for the Olympics, with a limit of 8 players from a given country. Beyond the top-30, a maximum of 4 eligible players from each country that does not already have 4 or more players among the top-30
  
• That last point is a bit confusing but it will generally work out to 8 USA players, 8 UK and then a max of 4 per country until we get to a field of 60 (This is almost identical to the real Olympic selection - we just doubled the #'s)

Other Info

• This will be the equivalent of a WGC event (for WGR points)
• There will be no purse
• Invite only event - you cannot play in your home tour during the same week
• You can opt out (Zika Virus!) and play in your home tour - you must email [e-mail] prior to the event being published in-game - we will then backfill your spot

Course

• Once TGCTlive! announces the winner of their design contest we'll know the course

Country

• We have a list of members and their country as of today - should any member change their country between now and the Olympics they will be ineligible to participate

Okay still confussled.  Top 8 US and UK got that.  Canadians 2 in the top 30. Got that.

After that is it 4 more per country or is it (since Canada already has 2 in the top 30) Canada will get only 2 more?

4 Canadians - if there were 5 Canadians in top 30 they would all make it. Since there isn't then a max of 4 can make it (2 more outside top 30).

Only the USA and UK have enough in the top 30 to make use of the top 8 rule.

Looks like Wildrover will qualify for the Irish, whats the world coming to? lol.

Will Alan Browne be able to choose if he represents Ireland or Great Britain as they do in real life?

England, Wales, Scotland and northern Ireland (UK) can only send 8 players to the olympics?

Plenty of good players stacked up in behind too. Shud be fun

Unfortunate that we've got 4 Canadians all sitting in the 30s just below the bubble.  Could be a tight race between Chris, Jeff, myself and yourself over the next month, lots of WGR points out there with the 2 majors still.

Did a real quick calculation and with teams maxing out at 8 and 4 players it should go near WGR #327? Could be higher if I counted 5 French and Swede's instead of 4, not sure if Lovedeep is still playing either?

I thought the Olympics was for amateurs? It should be for the CC only players.
