El Toro might not be a course of great difficulty but must say I'm impressed with the level of low scores going in.. It reflects the amount of good players there are nowadays. Not so sure I'll win my opening match with -12... Oh well, its good to be a part of this event nonetheless..

Game 2 vs Digs
61 (-10)
A very tricky course. Especially the greens.

I am not sure what to think of my first round. I made some really bad mistakes and a bogey on #5, but also had stretches of playing very well. If a couple of these near miss eagles would have went in, maybe I would have been closer to winning. Ended up with a 33-29 62 (-9). Near hole out on #10 on the fly: Another close one on the 2nd hop on #14: Near chip in on #18: Hope people don't mind the video spam!

Group stages Game 1 (El Toro)
Brian Murphy -16 (55)
Played ok, bogeyed 11 after a poor tee shot (ball squirt), apart from that did ok, made a few nice putts. Thought the course was excellent.
Best of luck Peter if u havnt played yet.

Not sure my Google form worked so I'll post it here as well - 61 on El Toro for me. Was lucky enough to be able to play my opponent's ghost in a turn based match, that was fun! Came back from 3 behind to edge him by a shot. Unlucky Wes, well played

He'll need the best of the best of luck to beat that its the "played ok" remark that made me smile, if Smurf landed on the moon 2nite his reaction would be "arrrgh wasnt the first to manage it tho was I!?

Technically, round 1 is due in 24 hours... going to give everybody a 24 hour extension, so won't finalize round 1 till midnight on the 4th (48 hours from now)... Round 2 is due on the 6th as scheduled.
I'll post a missing score list tomorrow.
