Here's my memories of previous Euro's:
One of the best technical goals ever from Euro 88:
Tomas Brolin in 92 before he ate all the pies at Leeds Utd:
England 4-1 Holland Euro 96:
Gazza twisting up Pat Butcher in Euro 96:
Danny Welbecks back heel from the last tournament.......who came up with that kit? Awful.

Some great goals there Chris Right, I've worked out how I see things panning out in France a little more & here's wat I've come up with.. Question is how many predictions will I get wrong, not right, here goes.... 24 teams in this European tournament, an increase of 8 teams from the past Euro tourneys... Obviously the top 2 teams from each group qualify for the last 16 and also the 4 best performing 3rd placed teams.. The winner of groups A to D will play one of the four best 3rd placed teams.. As for my predictions here they are. Winners:Germany Runners up:England Top Scorer of Tourney:Thomas Muller Player of the Tourney: Griezmann Dark horse:Poland I forsee a number of penalty shoot outs in France, and I've England to overcome Portugal in the quarters, on pens.. Must be crazy.. (they have to win a shootout once every 20 years) I agree with Smurf regarding Poland, they're a handful for any team & I forsee them possibly reaching the semi's at Spain's expense.. Germany to edge England in the final & think hosts France will fall in the semis to the Germans..I might be well wrong. Out of the home nations I expect them all to get out of the group except Wales. The third placed ruling gives sides like Ireland n N Ire a better chance but I see neither progressing past the last 16.. Roll on France v Romania... Let the games begin..

Bahahahaha, England to get to the final.........are you nuts? I don't care who wins so long as it's not a snooze fest with a load of rolling around on the floor like Pepe did in the Champions League final as if he'd been shot in the face.
Have a feeling having 3rd place teams go through will see boring 3rd group stage matches where teams play for a draw like Ireland Vs Holland at Italia 90.......Until Tony Cascarino came on, didn't get the memo and was trying to score Or the infamous West Germany Vs Austria in Spain 82

Strange things happen on anniversaries.. No need to remind any England fan it's 20 years since they lost narrowly to Germany at Euro 96.. ON PENS.. when they should have won.. France 98 lost to Argentina on PENS, Euro 2004, lost to Portugal on PENS, WC 2006, they were ko out again on PENS... I don't see why they just don't spend there whole training camps practising n discussing pens its a mental thing at this stage.. In the last 16 of these Euros I see England bein involved in a tricky last 16 match, possibly goin to extra time n beyond as well v Croatia... As I said, its not how many predictions, I get right. its how many I'm well wrong with but shur it's a bit of fun

Sorry Eng fans in advance for this vid but I always remember this game from Euro 2004 v France.. Portugal KO'd you's out on pens in the last 8 but in this match again 2 pens decided your fate, 1 not going in.. And Zizou scoring his...
A lot of scar tissue on past England teams, this current one might just buck that trend n progress further than they have before at the Euros but ultimately I don't see them winnin it overall..

Man, being an England fan has hurt a lot over the years. I'd even manage to forget that one! Thanks Tony! The thing with England is that they always seem to be the ones at the heart of their own downfall. Missed penalties, failing to close out a game... However, for me this year things 'feel' a little different. We have a young, positive, attacking team and the media aren't on their backs either. Not perfect, not the finished article. Do you have to be to go far in a tournament? No! Would history be on England's side? No! Does it matter? Only if the players let it. I see no team that England should be afraid of tbh. France, Germany, Italy seem to have a hold over us in major tournaments so I wouldn't bet on us beating those, but then we could get to the final without seeing any of them. Winning the group is possible, many would say they should. I know, when have England ever done what they should do. But if they do, then last 16 they face a 3rd placed team. Win that and then the next game gets you into the semis. Any team writing England off would be wrong to do so, any England fan not expecting heartache is equally wrong. But, I'm going to keep on believing they have a chance until that door closes

I try not to get too hyped up as its been the same since I remember from Mexico 86 onwards, just dont have enough to pull through. Call me nuts, but I think Hodgeson made a mistake in not taking Andy Carroll. He was in great form at the end of the year and defenders hate playing against him, seems to me there isn't much diversity off the bench if they're down by 1 with 10 mins left and the opposition are defending deep so you have to go route 1? What do I know though, I play video golf for fun

It sums up England's major tourneys over the last 20 yrs.. You's need Uri Geller hired me thinks to help out with pens
