Tony Pulis commentating on a Spain game. Can imagine when Pique and Ramos are strokin the ball along the halfway line Pulis shouting "Clear your lines".

I can only say one thing INIESTA Great player. Spain must be favourites but if we meet them I know we can get around that defence with our backs, and our strikers worry anybody. The worry for me is our defence, especially the central two. Our midfield will need to chase everything - not give Spain any time on the ball at all. Alli will need to really show his true talent, which he hasn't done yet but I think he will.

Alli will need to really show his true talent, which he hasn't done yet but I think he will. Entering the tournament I had Spain in a second group of favourites with France, Italy and a couple more of teams, right behind Germany. After the first two matches I think Germany is a bit less favourite, and the chances are closer between them, Spain and France I think For sure Spain has not played yet a rival that puts real pressure in the defensive end. English strikers could put that pressure, but Piqué and Sergio Ramos are, IMO, the best couple of central backs in the Euro. What I know for sure is that I don't see any team capable of discussing the ball's possesion to Spanish midfield. I'd love to see a Spain - England match, such different styles colliding would be an amazing show. (And I think that the most reasonable score would be an spanish win, but not an easy win)

I don't think Germany can win it - their defence is poor in my opinion.
I had Spain favourites followed by us. That was IF we played pace and class up front, which we now are.
France may come good at home but they are another with a poor defence - I expect them to trip up.
Italy just don't have good enough players but they do have organisation and team spirit.
The rest - I don't see a dark horse waiting to win it.
One thing though - I don't think Spain have the young talent England have, which bodes well for us in two years time.

Disappointing result for my country today in losing 3-0 to Belgium but I'm not remotely surprised..Didn't expect us to get anything.. The fact we're at Euro 2016 at all is an achievement for a squad not blessed with many talented footballers.. Didn't see much of the game as was working but from what I did see Belgium bossed us.. They've some brilliant individuals but the question remains if they can pose any threat in winnin this tournament. Personally I don't fancy their chances.. A win v an understrength Italian team next up for us may be possible if they rest players given the fact they're through.. I think if we managed a draw I'd be surprised. The fact Jon Walters is out injured for us is a huge blow.. Our best player in qualifying without doubt & is critical to the Republic of Ireland & Martin O'Neil's style gameplan.. i.e aerial long balls, gain territory & pounce for a goal. We have a few talented players in our team but none are world class & we just don't posses enough as a unit to make significant strides in a major tourney..Spain looked impressive last nite. They'll take some beating. Germany look to me more convincing in defence than they do attack.. Not particularly impressive so far in attack. France are doing ok without being brilliant. They look vulnerable at the back more than most of the heavyweights.. Italy are dogged and will be hard to beat can't see them winnin the tourney if I'm honest. And England are like an outsider at the national.. Not fancied but could well come up on the inside & cause a few surprises. Poland as well can't be overlooked to go deep into the tourney. They dealt with the German challenge well. Its simmering nicely lads An interesting number of weeks await..

Can't agree with that at all. Only Spain look like a team to be feared. I fancy England, now Hodgson has seen the error of his ways ( I hope ) to go a LONG way.
