Has there always been advertisements on the forums and i just now noticed them or are they new? I guess i don't mind but the "my life" advertisement prompts me to enter something. Everytime that one pops up, my screen automatically scrolls to the bottom and my keyboard engages on my phone. Maybe it is a phone setting or something. I'm using a Samsung s4 and Firefox. Anyone else having this issue? I'd rather pay a few bucks then deal with advertisement.

They will go away when we hit June.
Basically, Tim pays each month to have the forums be ad free. But if we get more views to the forums in a month than he paid for, they start showing up. Usually happens the last day or two of each month.

Yup, I already pay $50 a month for so many views without ads, just can't put out any more from my own pocket. All of the costs are already close to $300 a month.
Feel free to pitch in and pay if you like, the board supports anyone to be able to pay :-)

I actually started playing The Golf Club after finding this site, rather than the other way round, I'm sure I'm not the only one either. I had heard of the game, but heard there wasn't much in the way of a career mode so never bothered with it, this site gives the game a proper career mode which I'm sure helps in some small way with the sales of the game. |

Why don't we get people to pay to advertise here?
The adverts don't bother me at all and is IMO unfair for Tim or anyone to be paying to remove them.

Tim As a member of this community for a year now, I would gladly donate to a fund to pay for costs to run the site and forums. I would surely think that others would as well. Don't let pride get in the way, sir. We, as a collective, would certainly be glad to help offset those costs. |
