(Edit to add a fun little tidbit: This was my 1,000th post on the forums. Not a bad way to celebrate hitting quad digits, eh?) Oh my gosh. This thing will be so long the orchestra will be playing me off the stage. First, you have to give props to Tim . If it wasn't for Tim spending those long hours in the basement by himself because his wife gave him the option of either that or spending the evenings watching Jeopardy! with his mother-in-law, TGC Tours would not exist. And despite all the problems like server issues, guys caught cheating, ball squirt, and drivert , Tim's been there like that bunker in the middle of the fairway that gets my ball EVERY DAMN TIME I HIT MY DRIVE. ahem. sorry. Now, props to the flaming giant douchebag named Doyley . This guy has put up with more sh%$ than an actress in a German scheisse video. Week in, week out when someone has something up their preverbal keister Doyley's the one who has to deal with it. He could easily grab the Anthony Kyne Memorial Ban Hammer and pound the repeat crybabies back to the HB Studios forums where they multiply like rabbits; but instead he shows an even keel that is the love grease keeping the TGCTours machine running smoothly. And by machine I don't mean The Machine ijs1543 , but Doyley does lube his chassis too, so that last line is a double win. Yes, Tim invented this mess but Doyley is the one that keeps the cesspool stirring and for that, thank you. Then there's Captain whipped of the North. Of course I speak of Crazycanuck1985 . When I first joined the forums, he was the first guy to send me a message asking "Age/Sex/Location?" He was also one of the most helpful members of the community, answering dumb questions and helping in early design work. His videos on designing courses was/are an invaluable tool to the community and anyone who is new to the game wants to venture into the addiction that is course designing should watch them and take notes. He puts a mastodon sized load of crap into the community and is worthy of the hate and scorn we dump on him on a regular basis. He even hosts the podcasts because he almost had time to spend with his fiancee shopping for potpourri. Rock and roll had the Beatles. We at TGCTours have the Gophers. bassman70 , pablo , coruler2 , and Moe Slorkman work behind the scenes just like that rascally rodent to try and approve courses or to tell someone their course sucks giant donkey balls and to never ever design another course again. They never get the credit for their work going through the 1,000 autogen courses submitted each day that someone changed one tree on and claims they designed it all on their own. I'm thankful I don't have to do it so I'm glad they are there. Then you have dudes like catcherman22 , @loughrey and edi_vedder who bring tournaments and other fun things to the community that are the paprika in our community chili. That little added flavor that gives those of us who suck weekly on the tournaments another chance to show just how completely sh%$ty we are at playing this game. It's nice to have guys like that willing to sacrifice their time and social life to entertain guys who are too lazy to do it themselves. So thank you for being the little added kick. And speaking of people who kick, there's nobody who kicked and squirmed for me as much as fuzion . And this guy, he's fast. Really fast. He's so fast in fact that hookers feel story for him and give him refunds. When he turned that penchant for speed into Speed Golf, he brought a whole new level of fun to the community. So props to him. And then there's the True Sim Tour. I suck at it, so I really don't give much of a crap about it, but I know the folks that do are thankful for mcbogga , StoneComet and Matt10 . Then we have the podcast. The guys and gals that have jumped in to create a bunch of material to bookend around the reason people are listening, the Dick Watch. Folks like misternic , gdog , mrtweek1 , DoubtfulObelisk , and the late great Brionne who help bring a little something extra to the community that they can take away from the game. Something to help entertain them while they're in traffic commuting to work, on the treadmill trying to shrink their fat ass, taking a massive dump in the morning or bored out of their skull making their wife happy. I appreciate all the effort you gents have put into the podcast. And all the designers whose creativity pisses me off because it's so much stronger than mine. Guys like scarpacci , @ddawg , drlowdon , theclv24 , yeltzman , pyates , rod81simo , nevadaballin , friendBOMBER , reebdoog , guys I mentioned earlier in this posting and many others who I just don't have time to type out make the game better with every single submission. There's never a shortage of new courses to play and for that I am grateful. And if you're a designer I didn't mention, the fact you do the work makes me doff my cap. karma4u ...he's taken more pictures around here than a 60 year old pornographer at Spring Break. No way the site would look as good without him. Then there are all the folks I've goofed with off and on. Man, that list would be huge. Guys like @swaeromotion or HumaneDon1979 (that's Mr. Dick) or MrSourNinja or kireishoujo or theduke21 or Brighttail or @wagtunes or phoenixjay or even douchebags like Audentior and dryeti or bentfivewood or SweetTeeBag or adamhill413 or even those giant flaming pieces of human excrement ijs1543 and blueorfe . So many people who have enhanced my life just by their being a part of the forums. Really, if you're on the forums, you're contributing and you're not smurfblade88 , then I'm glad you're here and thank you. Aw hell. Even smurfblade88 . WHINY LITTLE BASTARD ADDENDUM: @chrashbird

I'd like to thank all the designers, well all but Irving R. Levine as he thanked everyone else in the TGCT community except for me and SweetTeeBag and to think I've got a hole named in his honour on the course I'm creating along with a stupid side story as well. That's the last time I watch him stream live at The Masters and abuse him with Balzhiser

I'd first of all like to thank Crazycanuck1985 for his blatant lift of my hall of fame idea. Much love to SweetTeeBag and Andrea for their promotion of my courses on their streams. It goes without saying, but I'll say it anyway that pablo puts in shedloads of time to give excellent, constructive, and useful feedback to so many courses. There isn't a course thread on this forum where he hasn't popped in to share his thoughts. To the good sons on the tour course selection committee, I can't remember everyone who does it, but I hope mrooola will take one for the team, and will pass on my appreciation and thanks. They really do a difficult job very well and get much abuse from the community for some of their choices, but they get much love from me. I sometimes read the course discussion threads for various tours and I imagine it feels a bit like this whenever they select a course: We must never forget the Rangers. Unfortunately, I have so I can't mention anyone. The hosts of TGCTLive, Audentior , dryeti , and Crazycanuck1985 do an outstanding service of promoting the best courses on offer and putting up with the pish I spew forth into the chatbox. I like to think of them as the Top Gear of golf, so presumably Yeti will assault someone then I will come along with five other guys and start a new show. But this is just a handful of the people who work so hard (and Audentior ) to make this site and this forum a better place for everyone. I wanted to finish with a game. I thought I would put everybody's name into a hat, then pull out one name and speak a little bit about that person to demonstrate that everyone here has, in their own way, contributed to make this community a truly special place. So, I wrote all the names down (it took a while), placed them into my glengarry, and gave it a good shake. I inserted my hand, pulled out a piece of paper and unfolded it, I read it: Kenny Willis. Now play me off in style!

I wanted to mention the experienced designers who have gone - and continue to go - out of their way to produce video tutorials, stream course play-throughs, answer questions and offer advice to other designers. Guys like Crazycanuck1985, pyates, scampi00, scarpacci, arcticfury, @tastegw, reebdoog, nickweis. People could be like, "I figured it out and it's my secret," but instead, those experienced designers have shared their tips and techniques with the rest of us. The result: great courses being produced all the time. There is never a shortage of quality courses to play. So, a huge thank you to those guys.

I'm amazed about the staying power of some of the initiatives here. TGCTLive has been going for how long? Over a year? The podcast could have been one of those two episodes and done but oh no, still going strong. The RGT started by Matt10 was a small crew of die hards that refused to understand that it was "impossible" to play with aids off for the longest time - and now it's on here with multiple events and more people finding this way of playing every week. It's amazing how many people are ready to put time in to help things run smoothly. Reviewers, rangers, schedulers, coders etc. At the TST we have a gang of people helping with courses and tour direction. Just a great community here. But still the largest shout outs should go to the core team. Doyley , Tim , SmilingGoats for creating this thing.

Wow....like this is totally far out. Positive vibes everywhere. Sometimes its like, you know, worrisome....like maybe happiness came here to die too, but then became reanimated like in the Walking Dead, but didn't want to bite anybody, but instead wanted to give group hugs. Far out! You are so totally like my new best friend now!People may think that they are getting sh%$ on, but it really just raining chocolate bars here! I want everyone to know that I appreciate each and every one of you, no matter what your background check will pull up. In fact, if there was a nuclear holocaust tomorrow, I definitely would want to hang with you all in the afterlife (unless you're an atheist, then we could find another way to hang out, because you're still cool in my book). Seen you soon buddies! The more I think about it, why should we limit ourselves to appreciating a member (oh goodness, is that a double entendre?). Doesn't swatting that cute, little @!$#ing ball make you take stock in your life and realize all you have to be grateful for? It does for me, that's for sure. Anyway, I wanted to share some things I have come to appreciate more because of TGC and TGC Tours. And so.... I appreciate Jack Daniels and Absolut Citron, because they never let you down and are always there when you need them. So many decisions, so little time
I appreciate Cheladas and Pop Tarts, because without them, I wouldn't have breakfast. Yummy for the tummy! I appreciate Victoria Secrets and Fredericks of Hollywood, because they totally understand human anatomy. They obviously have read Gray's Anatomy many times I appreciate the golf jocks who always score with the chicks, because they inspire me to work hard to achieve my goals. What can I say....some guys just got it!
I appreciate libraries, since there may be hope that future generations will not think that a five paragraph essay is TL;DR and will read more than 144 character tweets. Please have a seat right over there.... I appreciate curse words and cussing, because without them I wouldn't be able to communicate with my PS4 (or anyone else for that matter). Sometimes they sound so funny too! I appreciate Elizabeth Hurley. Come on, what's not to appreciate! Yes, I will have some of that between two slices of rye bread, please Most of all, I appreciate being able to play golf, because when I three putt, or bogey, or slice it off out-of-bounds, I don't look at it as though I am playing like sh%$. I look at it as though I have been given more time to play! It just like my birthday and Christmas all rolled up into one big happy grin-fest!
All of this has made me so very happy. No, really. I am so happy now. I'm so happy that I'm giggling. I'm giggling so hard that I'm giving myself the squirts, but the kind of squirts you get when you eat too much soft-serve ice cream. That's not a bad thing, though. Sure, no one likes getting the squirts, but everyone likes eating ice cream.
It's just the price you pay for having something you like.
Hey....come to think of it....I appreciate that philosophy.

Like whammy5, I haven't been around TGC Tours that long, but wow what an amazing complement to the game itself - better, actually imho, because it adds that human element, and provides a real sense of community. Scott and Tim were ultra quick to resolve some technical issue (can't even remember what it was now) that I had at the very beginning, and thanks too to Pablo, who whipped up a member card for me complete with idiot-proof instructions on how to insert it into my profile. To the technical gurus, who keep this whole thing ticking...your work is amazing! To the helpful and patient Rangers, who answer noob questions as if they've never been posed before, thanks for helping us along. To all the course designers, a huge thank you for your incredible work and the substantial generosity you show in sharing it with us. And finally, thx to all the many members for your insightful, instructive, and humorous posts - fairways and greens to you all!

Far too many people to thank. From the creators of this whole community, to the admin and all the way down to the members who simply play. We need you all. Thanks to everyone for making this the best ever gaming experience in my life. You know what? It's even responsible for rekindling my interest in real golf. I bought new clubs for the first time on 25 years and I'm really looking at playing on a regular basis. PS I was mentioned in this thread once and guess what? My name was spelt wrong! canthitstraight you're in my bad books now :-)
