I'll have to play it. I'm not sure what you guys are saying with the planting...those pictures look like a mess to me so maybe it looks different as you play.

That's awesome to hear thank you Bassman I'm glad you enjoyed it. I agree with your point about firmness, and I'm glad that the difficulty lying elsewhere appealed to you about this course. 10 under is a pretty darn good score in those conditions! Thanks again for the play and the review, very much appreciated. Haven't played it yet but watch Cairnsy780's stream and it is gorgeous. It looks like I'll love it. Can't believe this is you're first creation. Grats.

I boosted this back to the Top of HB studio course forum yesterday my view its one of the best Fictional courses ive played on this game, only Downside is the load time but once it loads an outstanding Course on the setting its designed to be played in,Amazing stuff in my view for it to be designed on xbox

I found nothing wrong with anything, not that I do in any event. I love it when a designer takes the time to plant and give something to look at every hole. So many so called top courses by top designers look the same time after time to me, like I have played the course a million times already. This definitely ticked all my boxes as something different. Looked like a golf course, played like a golf course. Could hardly wait for the next hole to pop up to see what wonderful work the designer had in store for me on the next hole. Good job, don't let them pigeon you in to the pigeon hole of less is more, that's total BS, this was great.

FYI nobody is is telling you how to do you thing. Do what you enjoy and for those that enjoy it. In all seriousness tell those that don't like it (me) to stick it in their ear. :-) don't design to please anyone but yourself. Good first effort

Fantastic course bud. I remember messaging you months and months ago about one of my first courses and you were working on a project that I don't believe you ever finished. Anyway, you've clearly improved and this was a sensational debut and a great little track to play. Even if the planting may seem unrealistic to some, it's very much fun to look at, and more than anything it plays great, which is what I care about the most.

Hey everyone thanks for the positive feedback it's awesome to see! I'm really glad everyone for the most part has enjoyed it. Really want to thank CrazyCanuck1985 for the course review, I feel like I learned a lot just having him go through the course, go check out his Course Critiques! His videos and methods help me a ton so thank you. Reeb I'm glad you played it and have your criticisms. Your copy paste comment in the critique video on 18 was something I'll be sure to look for in my newer courses, and any other feedback is welcomed. No way to get better if you don't have any criticism! Duke yeah and I saw it (Chastains) made it to the PGA Tour!! Awesome stuff... I made the cut but not by much ? I actually did finish that course, it's High Point, and hopefully it's getting a Web.com your event here soon. But thanks for the review I'm glad you liked it

Like I said man, take peoples opinions for what they are...opinions. ALWAYS build what you love and stick with it! Screw the rest of us. :-) If you can't design with that attitude then just quit now. Glad to have another designer out there making great tracks to play! My score on yours would have been a 7.5 so it's a good course...just had elements that don't resonate with me as much as with some others. Thanks for taking my comments as they were intended and not as a personal attack. Appreciated.
*EDIT* To clarify my copy paste comments...I'm talking mainly about the areas surrounding creeks and such. It really struck me as, Rock, bush, plant, flower, rock, bush, plant, flower... That kind of thing. It just didn't have a natural feel to it for me. Some of it was simply the size of the plants in the rocks and such. I know the game limits us in making these things visible without jacking them up till they are about 12 feet tall compared to our golfer. It's a fine line. Do I personally subscribe to the "less is more" idea of design? I guess so...but I do PLENTY of planting on mine...it's just harder to see as planting instead of as something that is just THERE. But that's my way of doing it and I'm in the minority probably so stick with plenty of plants! If you're ever planting an area and you zoom out and it just looks like TOO MUCH... you don't have to take anything away really..just go in and make a couple bushes larger or swap out two or three small stones for one big one...break up the continuity if you get my meaning. Thanks again!

I played this yesterday. Really enjoyed it. If you want to take out the microscope then sure there are small things that could be improved, but the important thing for me is that you created a fun, interesting, unique course that looks stunning. Very well done.
The fact that people are finding such small things to criticise is a credit to how well received the course is. Look forward to your future courses

Played this one last night.. It was a fun and interesting round of golf.. I was surprised my PS4 showed no signs of lag considering all the planting on the course.. But the round went smooth as silk.. The lily pads were very well done.. I also had giant flower syndrome in my first few designs.. (and still do sometimes).. Keep them coming because as you get better you will put out some really amazing courses.. I don't mind red slopes on the greens if the speed is slower and you did okay here.. Some of the drops were a little to much for me though.. Seemed like 3 foot drops in red.. If you cut that in half it might be better.. But you know what.. This is why Baskin Robins has 31 flavors of ice cream.. Fact is, I finished the round and enjoyed it very much..

You know who you are!!!! Have to play it myself tonight looking forward to it! Awesome thanks Shane! And agreed Pyates I take it as big compliment that lots of people would take time to let me know what they think. Thanks again Reeb it's something I'll be looking for in future designs, it's something to play with. And Airik I just like the mental/course management side of designing a lot. I just find that side of it is limited however when you're dealing with a game that has such little dispersion of shots amongst the better players. So it can be a little unrealistic for shots like on 4, where I wanted to penalize players for missing the slope to hole and ending at the back of the green. But I've played at places like Palmetto in SC and I was lucky enough to play Augusta National, where those slopes are all over the place. It's a fine line there but I see what your saying and that is more of a preference thing than my planting I think haha. But thanks for the play and I'm glad you enjoyed for the most part!

Like this course alot, its out there , bit like Kramer very unique with your stamp on it Dont follow trends just did your own thing here
Tight layout and closed in feel, rock work is very good This is my style of course, its a bit like yeti style Good variety of shots, elevations Love the greens though Few small things to improve here and there but thats it This course is different, and stands out from others
Well done your 3rd course and will remember this one, played it twice already
Thank you mate
