Three months ago I found this site, and having owned this game for a few weeks and done well at places like Little Brook Manor and Great Tottingdon I felt I was more than ready to give it a go. I then limped through Q-School in +25 and started life in CC-E. Now I'm on the verge of a crack at the Web and thought I'd give it another go to see where it would place me.
Early Feb: 75, 87, 70, 71, 77, 74 for +25 Now: 69, 70, 62, 60, 62, 73 for -34
59 shots better, it's amazing what you can learn in a few months of competition! Really enjoyed seeing the courses again, Wildfire Ridge is still my favourite desert course I've played - for me that's what a desert course should look and play like - and I also really enjoyed Shawnee Creek and the Denali Club. Dunholme Manor is still one of the hardest courses I have played and the pin positions on TGC Players Club are bordering on unfair, especially for rookies, but I guess that's the point. Actually it made me realise my 74 there the first time round was a pretty good effort!
So this means if I'd just played the last 12 weeks for fun without registering and now gone to Q-School I could have qualified straight for the Web, but genuinely I wouldn't change a thing. The journey through the Challenge Circuit has been so much fun, had its ups and downs and made some good golf friends along the way, and if I'm unsuccessful when I get my first go at the Web I'll be quite happy (for now!) to continue in CC-A.
My message to anybody struggling through Q-School at the moment - don't worry about it, most of us struggled! Just do your best and then once you start on the Challenge Circuit you'll be placed at a level you can be competitive, and the better you get the higher you'll go. I've been gaming since my ZX Spectrum days in the mid 80's and can honestly say I've never had so much fun as I have these last few months with this game and this site. Where my journey will end I don't know, but I'll have a bit more fun finding out

Yeah... I went thru Q-School 3 days after buying the game.. Not a good move.. But I could not wait to join TGC Tours so I jumped in head first.. +25 was much better than my Q School score..

Saw this post recently and thought Id give the Q school a run again... I played it I think back last may and ended up +45...did the rookie mistake of playing it way to early...
Went into the last course needing a -10 to end up -40 overall and see if I could have made PGA...Epic failure.. I believe I was -5 after 9 then the wheels fell off... It was fun playing the Q School again however
-6 -3 -15 -2 -5 -2
-33 overall... Im guessing that's Web which is currently where I am 78 shot difference overall....So if any players read this at all.. Wait for a while.. don't just jump in and play the Q School...Its tough....Fun but tough
great selection of courses also

I think my suggestion would be to do Q School as quickly as you can shoot under par on an moderately easy course. The only thing I would avoid is starting so soon that you can't at least stay in CC-E, which is shooting under par on easy courses and a couple over par on harder courses. I managed to play well enough to stick around for a few weeks before improving to the point where I could advance.

Where my journey will end I don't know, but I'll have a bit more fun finding out I replayed 4 rounds of Q-School. I went thru the 1st time only having 1 full round under my belt. Learning curve was steep. Managed 14 under over my 6 rounds. Since then, I've improved drastically. 1 win on CC-C and runner-up in CC-B. Thru the 1st 4 rounds of Q-School revisited I was 30 under and made my 1st hole in one. So, like everyone else, I highly recommend getting in some rounds and such before you start your journey!

If I would've waited 2-3 weeks is be on web.com instead of CC-E. Oh well.

If I would've waited 2-3 weeks is be on web.com instead of CC-E. Oh well. This just means you get to fly up through the ranks. That feeling that you actually have a chance to get a top 10, top 5, or even win a tournament goes quickly out the window once you hit the PGA / Euro.

That feeling that you actually have a chance to get a top 10, top 5, or even win a tournament goes quickly out the window once you hit the PGA / Euro. Exactly my point. I picked up two wins in my 12 weeks on the Challenge Circuit and lost another one on count back. Think my winning days might now be over!

So if you re-do Q school and play well can you move up from current flights?

Played about 4 rounds then decided to go ahead with Q-School. Through the first 3 I'm sitting at +32 (78-90-80). Had a lot more birdies in the 3rd round, but still am having the dreaded 3 and 4 putts to blow up holes! Can't wait to get my last 3 rounds in and get on tour!

Yep, that second course chewed me up the first time I went round it too. Don't worry about it now, just get through it and enjoy your first tournament in CC-E next week!

What should I do if my wife started to play when I went to the bathroom? I left it on pause and she went to town.
