Yea, we may need to look at this again -- we will be aligning the courses with the themes that most align with the real course on tour.

It has been stated somewhere, here in fact : www.tgctours.com/Course/Guidelines
European Tour
We are looking for a majority of links courses, with a few rural, alpine, and desert courses mixed in. Ideally, the European Tour will be comprised of about 70% links courses on the schedule, with the remaining 30% allocated to the rural, alpine, and desert themes. The courses for the European Tour will be mostly along the same difficulty levels as Web.com Tour events, with more difficult, PGA Tour level-difficulty courses played, particularly toward the end of the season during the Race to Dubai.

Opps. Messed up that last post. I see now where it all started. I believe they are planning to update that language and have the courses more in line with the real world tour.
