nevadaballin Thanks for the play and kind words. I had fun following your ghost around. The judges have their work cut out for them for sure. Airik3333 Thanks for playing! That's the second time that I've used this rocky water look and I think it works best on a beach type scene. I included it in the river too and that was probably a mistake in hindsight. I'm also surprised that I haven't seen more low scores coming through. Deceptively difficult maybe? Either way. Thanks for the play. I really appreciate it! pablo I appreciate you coming back! I think you scored better the second time around no? I know everybody else on this site appreciates your feedback. coruler2 I tried to message you? I was able to watch the stream from Terry Graysons video the night before. I really appreciated the comments and playthrough while you went through. I didn't take any issues with the few opportunities you had for me and liked that you took the time to appreciate some of the harder to make aspects of the course.

pablo I appreciate you coming back! I think you scored better the second time around no? I know everybody else on this site appreciates your feedback. Truth to be said, I'm not sure, the first time around I shot around -3 and the second time the score was similar. What is sure is that the score was produced in the last holes. It took me a bunch of them to "learn" how they played (your fault, evil man) What I liked the most of your course was the fact that the greens make the player think. They are receptive, but the chances of your ball rolling away from the pins are high. Accuracy must be premium on your approach shots.

What a stunning course we have here! Loved every minute of it. I don't know much about designing courses so i can't really give you great feedback sorry Here's my scorecard from my round: (i rushed a little putt on 15 for birdie which cost me an ever better score)

Scampi, Probably my favorite so far of the others I've played. Why? Because there's more "happening" here than just a great golf course. Like the beaches with the low tide exposing the rocks - I know they're quick & easy to do but they just make the sea views more realistic. The planting beds formed using rocks or low walls to define the areas like a well manicured garden. The Brazilian flag with clever use of the green plant to ensure the color was in keeping with the flowers used and they did not look raised. Not forgetting your Olympic rings which like the flag have a cool 3D effect on that slope, very well done. Couple of minor things I wasn't keen on: First, and this is just me remember - I'm not a lover of the whole plot being covered with heavy rough (on any theme), it detracts away from the natural terrain of the outer course & if you then raise up the land to make high hills or even worse mountains you get that patchy, streaky green slime effect - yuk!! Secondly, again just an observation; Great "twin hotel" clubhouse with superbly detailed exterior - but where are the golfing facilities? No point in cart paths if there's no carts or somewhere to store them Layout, routing, hazards & greens all top notch, very well polished with plenty of variety to keep the golfer interested & nice to see a tropical theme with an "open style" so those, often spectacular views are showcased to the max. The very best of luck to you in the competition Scampi. Sam.

@ichaozxd Geez...way to shatter the illusion that this is a difficult golf course. What a round! If I'm being honest I'm a little surprised at the holes you Par'd. I think 3/10/17 are the most difficult on the course but you nailed them no problem. Well done Sir! SAM Thanks for the kind words. Sorry if took forever to get back, work has been crazy. I'm glad that all the little stuff I do for the courses get noticed. I try to add in extras without them looking..silly? Nice to see they're working here. As to your negatives for me, I have no real issue with either of them. This is the first course I've done where I've placed Heavy Rough like this and I'm not sure I love it either. My goal was to have a wide open course, but I could have gotten the same look by simply clearing trees and not using the heavy rough to clear the trees for me. It was nice to do something different but I think I'll go back to slim deep rough with lots of natural earth and grasses. Second, we actually don't have clubhouses on this course. After every round our golfers are encouraged to place a brick on the gas pedal and to let the cart roll off into the ocean. It's a symbolic death for both the golf cart and the round. Honestly its a beautiful ceremony but as a result our golf cart budget is ridiculously high. (Simple answer, I forgot ) Thanks for the words fellas!

Hey scampi, terrific golf course bud. Every aspect of the course is top notch, the planting and fencing just fits so well and looks real good. The setting you've created is just stunning especially coming into the clubhouse. I've gotta be honest I almost always prefer a firm course, but i really enjoyed this one. It was interesting how you were able to keep it somewhat challenging without putting the pins 2 feet behind a bunker. Nice work, and best of luck in the competition.
Any intentions of making a firm version of this one?

I enjoyed my round here, even though I didn't set the world alight. Struggled to get close to the pins with my approaches, and 3 putted the first par 5 to make par. It took until the 9th to make a birdie, but then all of a sudden I finished with 4 in 5 holes to shoot -5.
I don't know how much of this was down to design - it didn't feel incredibly difficult (I somehow went bogey free, which doesn't normally happen), but I never really felt like I was close to making birdies. With that in mind, I sort of just felt like I was plodding along, not really fighting to make a score. Apparently I have already shot a -8 round here though, so I'm going to just put this down to playing pretty averagely.
However, I did at least have fun while plodding around. The course itself is very neat and polished with attractive views, and the 1st and 10th tees are really something nice, and set the tone for a good round.
Best of luck in the contest!

I feel like all of my reviews have been pretty harsh but I guess that's just down to me trying to split hairs between some fantastic courses. I've enjoyed my tour phenomenally and it's definitely made me a better player!

Finally finished the tour... sorry Scampi my random order drew you a short straw. Really enjoyed my round. I think the closing hole is my favourite finishing hole visually of all the entries. The flag in particular looks incredible, but the whole way it and the clubhouse frame the hole is great. The course as a whole was excellent, looked great (especially into the light... don't they all and played very well. I noticed a few lumps and bumps on the beaches that might be better smoothed and some of the floor beds that were circled with rocks looked great but a little bare for me. It may be a little easy is my only concern for it, not that I scored well at all Best of luck with the judging.
