Hello everybody. This is my new course, it's a desert-themed course.
Suny is a good friend of mine who lives in Alicante, in the south eastern part of Spain. Despite that area is not a desert, the terrain is quite similar, there are lots of palms, and the background is quite similar to the mountains in the desert theme. Actually, from the driving range where we use to play when I'm around there the feel is quite similar to the one featured in this course.
But the course is completely fictional. It features some severe elevation changes, but the fairways are generous, which gives several routes for each hole. The greens, on average are on the big side, and feature some movement, but as the day is rainy, they are receptive and not very fast (145 feet at the moment).
Let's go to what matters. The holes. I've done four and a half:
First tee:
1st green:
The second hole is a very long par 3 with a huge drop from tee to green. It's quite daunting I think:
The 3rd is a the first par 5 in the course, depending the route you choose from the tee you will be able to attack the green, or will be forced to lay up short to a well protected green, and the 4th is a short par 4 (320 yards). I doubt it can be reached, except from a shorter tee. And the danger in this hole is the back of the green, with a daunting runoff which will swallow the non-perfect approach shots:
The fifth is quite advanced by now. But you'll have to wait to get some info on it, but in the meantime you can tell me what you think about these holes, I'd love to hear from ya
