lol when you putt, do you adjust the marker for the up and downhill slopes? In the designer, make yourself a small hole with a big green and put flat parts, slopey bits and practice on it. adjust the green speed so you can practice on slow (sub 144 green speeds) (medium around 144-160) and fast (around the 170+ mark) It will get you some practice at judging strength, i did this a few months ago and my putting is much better, i just have to get the nerves to go on hols for the rest of the season though lol Yes designer is great, you should watch some of the designer live shows from canuck and such, will give you plenty of tips and ideas and you are able to ask questions on canucks about how or why he did this or that to the course. I've never messed with the yellow marker at least I'm assuming that's what your talking about. I have no idea what it's for other than it shows how many feet the marker is at. And yes I've watched Canuck's show several times as well as all his tutorials. They've really helped alot and my last 3 courses I've designed are much better than the 1st three for sure because of it... You'll have to fill me in on the yellow marker thingy though....not sure what that does or how it helps with putting. The yellow marker shows you the strength of the putt and most times its aimed a bit further than you will like especially on downhill putts so you need to bring it towards you to make the putt weaker and lessen the chance of the ball waving at the hole as it screams by and ends up 20 ft past lol. always check the green speed as well, if its low then you wont have to move as much back, if it says 187, be ready to move back the marker on downhills. theres guides to putting somewhere in the forum that give tips on how to work out how much to move the marker so you should have a look if you can.

You'll have to fill me in on the yellow marker thingy though....not sure what that does or how it helps with putting. My understanding about the yellow marker is that it gives you a greater margin of error with your swing for the distance at which the marker is set. If I have a flat putt I want to try to putt at a strength that takes the ball about 2 foot past the hole (because "never up, never in"). That occurs by pulling the putter back to a certain point (e.g. level with your right foot say). By moving the yellow marker to two foot past the pin I have more margin of error in reaching my backswing point. It is not a magic bullet. If your strength is off by a wide margin it will still miss by a long way because you are outside the yellow marker assistance zone. Where it becomes invaluable is on the steep up or down hill putts (especially down hill). If I have a 12 foot putt that is 4 inches downhill on a mid-speed green I want to hit a putt that is equivalent to a 9 or 10 foot putt (i.e. 12 foot less 1 foot for each inch down plus 1-2 feet to get past the hole - I tend to be more cautious downhill depending on what is happening beyond the hole) . By moving the yellow marker to the 9 feet mark I have more margin of error in my backswing to hit a "9 feet" weighted putt.

Well, if the scores stay like they are right now, I will be on my way to WEB.COM. Safe to say I never expected to make it there. A month earlier, I was in CC-E, struggling to keep my head above the water. I guess you can really get better with practice.
I will be back here soon enough I think, I'm definitely not good enough to survive in Web.Com, but hey, we never know!

CC-A...CC-A...didn't think I'd ever visit you boys. But here I am on a bus pass this week hoping to make another jump. Started slow but kicked myself in the ass(I'm getting good at it) and battled hard the final 3 rounds. Hope it's enough to earn my permanent A card 66-62-60-62
-38 total
good luck boys!!!
Dude....What you been waitin' for.....I play against your ghost all the time, your game is definitely in the A class if not Web.com. Welcome aboard!!!

It means a lot coming from you. Yourself, have improved a lot in the last weeks, so much that for the last few tournaments, I've used your ghosts along with Phyler's on the courses. (Sorry for my sloppy English, I'm French Canadian ) Just keep working and everything will fall into place!

Im in tied 22nd, my best position by 12 spots ever and just inside the exemption clear mark which will give me at least 3 more weeks in A, if they get above me then it might knock -40 out of the clear zone very nervous wait
