Yeah, I was to the right of the pin. The issue is that below the hole is like a 1 yard grid to stay on the green, if that. And I think in that case you still have to actually hit the green about a yard or two ABOVE the hole so that it rolls down to below the hole without falling victim to the false front. If the ball had lipped out the opposite direction during my putt, I might have been fine. Unfortunately, it decided to go left and down the slope it went. In reality, there's no reason I should miss a 4' putt, so that part is on me. Didn't think I would have to aim more than 2 cups over on a putt that short. The hill destroyed me, that's for sure.

Daniel, no worries, enjoy. I'm most likely out, shot a -4, I think it was 32 and 36. Not sure, but I submitted my score sheet. I got ate up by some slopes. Good luck Colin, it's there for the taking.

Longest putt I made was 7 feet. Missed 3 putts within 5 feet for birdies. Anybody want to guess which hole that bit me the most on? (Hint: It's the 5-over on #13 that I left myself pin high with 4' to the hole, lipped out towards the fun red slope and then proceeded to go another 63 feet off the green. Might actually take the cake for the worst pin position I've seen yet, and that's including Cuyahoga's par 3 (#5)!) Needless to say I was pretty mad the 4th time the ball rolled back to my feet because the yellow slope on the back side took my ball to the red slope on the other side...Same results putting and chipping. Just rushed through the rest of the round after that sh%$. Note: Since I think you are looking for feedback, I enjoyed most of the pin positions with the softer greens. But #13 is just stupid. I understand having massive false fronts, but I don't think it's necessary to have a significant hill leading to that false front 2-3 yards away from the pin that will most likely leave your ball going down that front. And I had these problems coming from the front of the pin. Good luck if you're behind the pin, that's for sure. This was not by design. I have written a few apologies on here and explain in my course thread below. I'm gutted that one of my pins was unfair and wish I could take it back... fortunately for a normal TGCT event we have a lot more time to get pins right and rangers to prevent this from happening... I never meant to affect this competition in such a negative way, believe me my intentions were quite the opposite . Anyway, I'm going to leave my comments on the matter at that. I hope the Elite pins get forgotten about and that people enjoy the regular course instead tgctours.proboards.com/post/100730/thread/6827

Ok so 1 more comment... Is there anything stopping you guys from null and voiding this round and replaying on the original... Or another course if you prefer? It would probably spare my blushes somewhat ... Just an idea, after all the effort put in to this point it seems a shame some should exit under such circumstances

It's just that one hole everyone is going to struggle on. It will make or break a round, or a controller, or even a console!

#13 for me I hit short and rolled straight, stopping on the red. Missed the birdie putt, tap in par. Love/hate this game.

Yea I did the same... everybodys playing the the same course, so no to null and voiding the round. Its a a learning experience... Next time we don't make a new set of pins without the play testing first..lol it's all good

Was bogey free in round 4 until I rammed my tap in par down the slop and off the front of 18 green. Flopped back up and two putted for a triple on the last to shoot -6. That is for sure going to hurt.

I didn't see this until after my round... 7 on #13 killed me. 29-41 is about the most hilarious front/back combo out there.

A lot of it is luck, and a lot of it is.... knowing that one bad move puts you in a world of trouble. I left myself 30 feet above the hole, thought I had babied the putt down but clearly didn't. Then got too cute with flops that spun back twice. Then tried an 8-iron chip that went too long, ran up the slope, then came all the way back down off the front again. There's ways to do it, I just failed miserably. It is what it is.
