Yes 64 is a nice number, but would rather not turn anyone away. I think we can get it up to 96 (or more hopefully). There will be first round byes, but it's more fun with everybody included

Currently show us at 70 players. Keep it growing!
I should add I did decide to cap at 128 if we get there, unless we hit that number fairly quickly, so that we don't have a first round with only a couple of matches and have 90+ people waiting.

I was thinking of making the rounds coincide with the dates for TGC... so one round would go from Monday - Thursday and then the next round from Friday - Sunday, and then repeat.
I was not planning on having a tiebreaker round... I am using google docs for the submission. I don't think people want to submit hole by hole, and I'd hate to have to require a screenshot incase somebody forgets. I was thinking of doing back 9, then front 9 for tiebreakers?
The site I am using to host the bracket has a nice round robin option (ala the world cup), which I think is the method I'l be using next time we do this... then it won't matter about ties until we get to the tourney at the end.
And yes, a non score is a dq, and if both don't submit a score, then both are dq'ed.

If you do the back 9 front 9 method for tiebreakers, there is a chance that those numbers could be the same and you would need another option to determine winner. Round robin could work Open for other suggestions... if they end up tied on 3 spots we could flip a coin?
Just trying to make it easy on everybody involved.

We need another 4,238 golfers to register for me to get a bye in round 1 I think. We need some marketing for this!

Round robin ala world cup would be great and give everybody a chance to play a few games at least. Then u dont need a tiebreaker (most likely) just use a goal difference style system where if i win -10 to -4 i get -6 towards stroke difference (Lower the better).

In the event of a dead heat tie in groups we cud have a 9 or 18 course on standby and have a sudden death matchplay game to determine a winner.
