Questions:
Correct me if I'm wrong, but it's a pay to win game right? I'm not intending to put any real money in here so I was curious if anyone else is?
You guys who has played this before. Do you take that team with you or is everyone starting from 0?
How the hell does the transfer market work? I put a bid on a player and it apparently wasn't high enough and now I can't bid any more. Is there a trick to this?
Anyway. Game on. First game against some Loco Spaniards. I'm feeling confident after my heroic scoreless draw against my reserve 2 team.

I certainly don't get access to better players or anything Nope everyone is from scratch we all have the same crap That means someone gas already bid more than you and9/10 player will say he doesn't like you. It's to encourage you to bid more than the minimum Hope that helps?

Ahh. Ok. So if anyone has a better or worse team at the start is purely random then?
Is there a significant leap between a player rated 4 and one rated 5? I'm trying to figure out if it's beneficial through the transfer market to aquire 2 or 3 small upgrades or if I should try and aquire a "star" player..

Mine was one of the worst Look at my squad and ul see the approach I have taken. Mine will all be 7 rated however average age will be like 32/33 so that will hold me back. Think this strategy will compete at the top end but not be enough to win it

I have two players with 7. They are far better than the rest of my squad. I have a 4 in my starting 11 atm

The way I have been approaching it is to get a few older players 29-31 with higher ratings, then infuse most of the team with higher rated youth in order to improve skill numbers along the way so most of my team is around 21-25 with ratings between 6-8. I don't have anyone over an 8 yet but its tough to grab them with the bidding transfer aspect (which i quite like by the way) along with the limited amount of econ. I did get a boost from selling a youth academy player for 2mil though, so that helped. Try selling a younger player with good attributes and see if you cant get top dollar for him... best of luck to everyone this season.

I do have one question, say I put a bid in on a player and decide I want to pull the bid, is that possible?

I do have one question, say I put a bid in on a player and decide I want to pull the bid, is that possible? I don't think that's at all possible. I tried to do it myself... No luck. All you can do is hope someone else bids more money. You can lower your max bid if it's more than one bid step above the current winning bid. That's the only option.

i'm guessing 1 means a home win, X means a draw, and 2 means an away win?

Well. You learn things the hard way. The bidding system is somewhat infuriating for me. 30 minutes After a bidding deadline, where no money had been drawn, I figured I lost the bid and then placed a new bid on the same type of player. Needless to say. 45 min after that bid deadline and 15 from the ongoing it turns out I did win that player. Also won the second one.
Ohh. 1 season = 1 year?

But yeah that's what those symbols represent in football terms I use the app for certain things such as transfer filtering and bidding, It allows me to customize the filtering better and gives me a better idea of when deadlines are coming considering I'm in the States the default time from Europe throws me off. I do agree that the app is a bit crap in the sense that you can't see your formation in tactics. So I use the computer for press stuff and tactics.
