I am kind of stuck with what to do with this tournament. I still think it was a good idea but only 10 Irish players have signed up. We could have 5 teams of 2 if you think that would work. Do any of you know other Irish players who have not yet signed up? Maybe I might create a poll among the 10, regarding the idea of having an Irish Invitational Tournament, and inviting some players from other countries. I'd appreciate some feedback on these ideas.

I was also thinking either 4 teams of 3, or maybe 6 teams of 2. It would be great to get everyone's feedback. Thanks.

We now have 13 players. I don't really want to go with a knockout tournament until the late stages as a team could be out after just one match. I would like each team to play the other at least once, maybe twice, over the course of a short season and the top 2 teams with the most points at the end would play for the championship.

OK, it could be the Irish Premiership invitational. 2 League tables. Of 6 up to 10 players per league. Final numbers per league could even be higher but it would not matter. Everyone plays once only against each of their same league competitors. Both leagues to be chosen by Chris loughrey based on individual WGRs. Seed the two separate league tables equally. Closing date, to be set my Chris to dictate final list of entrants to both league tables. Top 8 players from each league then to qualify for last 16 knockout stages. All last 16 knockout draws to be seeded based upon league performances. i.e. top 2 cannot meet or be drawn against top 2 in the last 16, top 3rd and 4th cannot be drawn against 3rd and 4th etc etc.... Hope this suggestion helps ?, kind regards, Peter Risdale. p.s has anyone got a few bob to spare cos we're thinking of resurrecting Leeds United FC .

Don't listen to pugtrubble!! he's the Peter Risdale of forums! He'd sink a gravy boat!! but for what's it worth I'm not against non Irish players joining this event! So we're going to lessen the restriction on the application process! If a family relative has farted in the direction of Ireland at any point in the last 50 years... Then... Your in!!! if that's the case tony u and bren have defiantly got some English with rob my ass is on fire boza in the chat eh,,, through the chair,, and all that marmalade,, don't listen to ijs or the reddevil. They can't be trusted. Neither of them are from Cork boy like !!!! Life really sucks eh. If we invite non Irish to this tourney event and one of them wins the damn thing them we will be accused of being Irish. If we don't invite them we will be accused of being racist. Personally, I'm good with inviting everyone in for the fun and going the whole hog of being abused as Irish and racist. Hate to be in politics me ?? Over to you Chris !!
