With the new cutlines not implemented this week, I'm sure i will score well but not well enough for an exemption.

As a new guy on the web.com tour, I feel the need to combat the watchers by being the first one to submit a score this week. Had a -9 opening round which was alright, especially considering the way I started the round. I managed to par both of the short par 5's on the front before I finaly got rolling on the back.
Off to practice a round or two on the slower Friday greens.

Tired from the furniture beating going to sleep will fill everyone in tomorrow finished with -39 seeming couldn't shoot better than -7 in practice I'm happy but it's another week of what could of been! If you couldn't best -7 in practice, shouldn't you be really really happy about your -39? All will be explained in the next couple of hours when I'm in work

If Jimmy's prediction hold this week, I have my work set for round 2 to make the cut. I had many good shots but had a really bad putting day on round 1 (even if I prefer fast greens) with several missed opportunities and 3 bogeys from 3-puts. I can see from the comments here I was not the only one struggling with the putting but final round score of 65 was not what I had hope for and doubt very much I can shoot -11 in round two but will surely give it a go.
Good luck everyone.

I see canthitstraight has some competition for getting his rounds in first

Ok I've calmed down now so I'll give the full story. Struggled in Practice with this course shot -7 thur/fri/sat and -5 on Sunday just couldn't get to grips with it at all. I have been implementing a few things into my game of late and went to my local pro namely nantez88 for advise and reassurance that the changes I was making were correct he confirmed it went back to Thursday on practice stuck 1-4 birdies on each so I said ill start the comp. 1st stuck Birdie 2nd stuck Birdie 3rd stuck Birdie 4th stuck Birdie 5th pin high Eagle (First on Web to my memory) 6 under after 5 everything was perfect par/bird/par/bird -8 thru 9 buzzing got greedy on 10 slight slice missed fairway scrambled a par 11 stuck birdie. Stood on 12 backswing was jumpy so smart thing reset and give it a second! but when your playing so well sometimes you don't do the smart thing !! swung thru 92% then the quote we all love to hear "looks like we're getting wet here!" pinged of a rock on the far side splash. Then came the blow up or "Moe up" as my friends call it. Temper went dropped hacked a 3 iron outa the cabbage bursted my chip followed with a snake (3 putt) Triple bogey 7 and honestly I just gave up. Why? because I'm an Eijet. Played out the last 6 holes in -2. teed off on round 2 sat down and had a chat with myself. Realizing I could recoup a decent finish and if I didn't it would be a cut I went on the attack just went for every pin played out of my skin missed a couple of makeables but everyone does so never count that a more than solid fight back of -14 safe from the Watchers. Rounds 3&4 can sum up in one movie title "The Good, The Bad, The Ugly. Played some really good golf but 1 of the par fives summed it up 2nd shot rolled 20yrds it was going for the hole First ever Albatross ? Of course hit the pin in the face popped to the left a foot or 2 caught a slope and reeked back another 8 foot and then lipped out my Eagle put. I had shots I stuck, bad misjudgements, 3 putts, silly missed fairways, treble breaker putts that dropped and 5 footers I blasted past just a complete mixed bag. But after my practice if I was offered -39 I would of thrown them in the back of my car and brought them up the woods. So im happy but will always have that niggle in my mind "what if?". But 2 weeks of going low in a row I'm getting there and with my Reign of Terror starting in 2 weeks timing couldn't be better. But I will never have another one of Canucks courses his clever pin placements are a nightmare !!!! Oh crap week 21 is his aswell . I'm messing of course beautiful course challenging greens and Whonnock Lake is one of my favourite courses I've tested and Webs first Swiss track.

I played -26 after 2 rounds, -12 -14, then it all went horribly wrong after having visions of making top 5. Finished -31 !! I don't think I could score that badly for the final 36 holes if I drank a bottle of whisky first.

The moment of truth, my first round in the web. I have to admit I am a bit nervous, especially seeing some of the scores coming in. With it being a easier course, there is no room for error. I am in a strange place right now, wanting to do my best but also unsure if I am ready for the web. I always hoped to move up someday but can't help thinking its to soon. I will do my best of course but it will not be a disaster if I miss out this week. Time to focus on my first round, I only got to play one practice round before course officials told me I need to be an official member before I could play more than one practice round, so going into this half blind, let's see what happens.
The first hole is more important than ever, I needed to just find the fairway and green to settle my nerves and that's exactly what I did, landing my ball one foot from the cup. For a second I was thinking eagle, what a start that would have been but not going to complain about a tap in birdie. I did the same thing on the second for a positive start, although I do think pretty much every one else did as well. It was a nice gentle start to a tour. There is no doubt it helped settle me down a little and going three under after three even had me feeling confident, a worrying feeling that, confidence likes to bite me in the ass when I not looking. I finally had a putt longer than three feet on the fourth, a fourteen foot birdie putt. My first test, it had slight break and was slightly downhill, it dropped, just about crept in the side, it was nerve racking as it got close to the hole, looked like it was going wide but I'll take that. I was on the wrong side of the cup on the fifth for my eagle putt, it was not a long putt but broke heavily and downhill. The only way I was going to stop the ball was by holing it, it came close and I looked on in dismay as the ball rolled on. My putt back was not easy but it was up hill and that helped for birdie number five. I went for a long pitch for my approach on six, I left it shorter than I would have liked leaving a ten foot putt, thankfully that dropped as well. The par five seventh went the same as the previous par five, from start to finish every shot was indentical with the same result. My birdie streak ended on the eight when I failed to find the green, chipping is normal a strong point for me but I panicked a bit, I should have played safe for a easy par but I went for the hole to try continue my good start, bogey was the result, my first mistake. That was quickly followed by mistake number two when I found the bunker on my approach, a terrible bunker shot failed to land on the green and all off a sudden my great start was being eroded away. I needed to settle myself for the back nine.
A birdie was needed on the tenth so I played safe, just found the centre of the green and lagged close for a tap in birdie. Playing safe is not my nature but it had to be done. I finally made par on the eleventh, my approach was poor which left me with a long putt that never came close. The nerves were back and I was overthinking my shots. I followed that with another par, I pitched my approach but was just short of the green. If not careful, the round might slip away. I got back on track on thirteen with a fourteen foot putt, it was scary, in my head I could see the ball rolling past and off the green, the sound of the ball dropping was just beautiful. The putt on fourteen was even scarier, it was only four feet but with extreme break, I powered through the break and for once it worked, I dread to think where that ball would have ended if I had missed. Fifteen brought some relief from pressure putts with a straight forward hole where every shot landed where I wanted it to. Just three to play, have to avoid mistakes. I put some of that putting pressure back on myself on sixteen, my approach should have been closer, the ten foot putt was not overly difficult but again my mind was seeing breaks that were not there with the worst possible outcome, thank you body overruled my mind and birdie was made. I then lipped out a simple putt on seventeen, ahhh this game will drive me insane one of these days. I played the last cautiously, overly so. I did not want a last mistake, I just wanted to go home, the round was a roller coaster ride of emotion and I wanted off. I gratefully took my par and headed off the course.
What a round, a dream start, horrible mistakes followed by nervious shaky golf. Still, ten under is not a bad way to finish my first web.com round. Now I just got to do it all again tomorrow, can I just go back to the challenge circuit now please? This cut thing bad for my health!

So just completed the 1st round. Went quite well (for once lol), and I really like this course. Was looking great after going Thru 14, sitting at -12, then thinking to myself if I can get birdie on the last 4 I should definitely be sitting comfortably at the top...that my friends is one way you can almost guarantee to jinx yourself. Here is how holes 15-18 went... Good tee shot on 15 then an approach that left me a couple of feet short of the green, a par 5 so wasn't concerned. About 40yds to the pin, slightly uphill. Out with the PW for a 40yd flop, given the uphill would have come up maybe a few feet short....but NOPE...did a full swing and my controller and the game decide yeah we'll give (about) 90% power. Flop shots are something I do quite a lot for short approaches and attacking the pin and well my jaw just hit the floor when I saw that power %...then went through the floor as I watched the ball catch the slope and come back. I thought OK all's not lost, get close then escape with a par. NOPE, came up shorter than I wanted and missed the par save by over powering the putt. OK I can take a bogie....NOPE ball sails over the hole...DOUBLE BOGIE on a par 5!!! Then (just to keep this short) birdie on 16, par 17, and birdie 18, I think in that order anyway. Clawed my way back to -12 with sweaty palms and an angry vein on my head as wide as the grip on a golf club hahaha. Apart from the total mess on the 15th though I'm very happy with my 1st round result, currently tied for 3rd I think although there seem to be scores not yet posted going by the leader board on the PS4 itself. Anyway enough rambling on from me....Good luck to everyone this week and don't jinx yourselves like I did haha.

-10 under and a -12 under and as decent as that sounds I still can't make putts in the 5 to 15 foot range. Nothing. Join the club!! It's so annoying. I'm sure others must have a secret formula they won't tell us
