I would like to point out what I think is a partial error. Maximum divisor The maximum divisor will be 52OK, so this is correct, but iirc, it also should read tha it only will take in your most recent 52 events. Will this be taken into consideration? I notice there is one member who is currently at 52 events, with a number of 51s and 50s. If this isn't taken into account, over 2 years someone could accrue points for literally 100 events and only have a divisor of 52. That is really a big bonus and iirc, not reflective of how it works. It helps in a different manner to play over 52 events as well in a full 2 year cycle... basically only your last year (if you play every week) would count, and those last events would still have about 60% weight. As far as where I landed, I will take it, but somehow feels "off". For one example... I just don't know I can be ahead of, let alone THAT FAR ahead of Thomas Oberholzer. But I guess its just because I came across it just a little bit ago and am now processing it. I really like the last 5 events feature, and a week to week WGR breakdown will be AWESOME! Great work on this. Now its time to drop this week after one of my worst weeks here. I just went to the OWGR page and the very first name on this list looks like the WGR only takes into account your most recently played 52 events in a 2 year period. Jordan Spieth. Here you can see he has a divisor of 52, but 56 actual events played: www.owgr.com/rankingIf you look into his breakdown, you see that he has only 52 events counting towards his WGR. I counted them down, and it is indeed 52: www.owgr.com/en/Ranking/PlayerProfile.aspx?playerID=14636If you look into that and then into his 2014 events, you see that he had an event in weeks 4, 6, 8, and 9 of 2014 that are within the last 2 calendar years, but do not count in the above 52 events: www.owgr.com/en/Ranking/PlayerProfile.aspx?playerID=14636&year=2014This may already be in place, but unless I missed it, which could have been done, I didn't see this distinction made anywhere in this thread. Edit: I am totally unsure of this, but since we here at TGCT do play events more frequently than actual pros do, would an increased maximum divisor be more realistic for our purposes? Say some kind of higher percentage out of 104 weeks (2 years) than the current 50%? Something like 60% 65% 66.67% 70% 75% maybe? Maybe this was already discussed when the lowered minimum divisor was put into place.

What classes as being Active or Inactive? I've rocketed up to 18th in the WGR where my number of starts has helped me out as it's only around 25 or so, thing I'm confused about is I haven't played an event since week 3 back at the end of October and I'm down as active? Is it just by being logged in to the main website that counts you as active where I've submitted courses?
Hope you still do the "Accept Invite" rule for WGC and Majors so I don't take someones place who is grinding every week to move up the rankings.
Fantastic job guys, I still come on here to see what's going on but haven't the urge to play anymore. When you get Country Clubs or something similar going then I'll probably play again as I enjoy the team aspect of playing more.

"Of course if any players comes back, they would then receive 100% of their points again because their week differential would be 0. I think this allows inactive players to stay on the list, but causes them to be penalized more for their inactivity."
Not sure I like this much, to clear I like the part of the dropping with inactivity, but there should be some permanent drop due to inactivity even if they come back, maybe not to the same extent as the inactivity drop, but some drop all the same. Maybe treat it the same as you would a player who played but missed the cut for each week of the inactivity.

I believe the current active rule is 13 weeks or 13 events, not sure which exactly. So you are probably on the verge of changing from active to inactive.

Maybe becoming inactive could be sped up, maybe to 8 weeks, to make it in line with the 100% current form multiplier?
The maximum divisor is 52 Bob. Meaning if you play more than 52 events it only calculated the last 52. This translates into about 2 years worth of golf in real life.
Unsure about TGCTours expanding the divisor. 52 events seems to work well here too. Otherwise people won't progress as quickly as they should as an event 103 weeks ago (nearly 2 years) is a long time in virtual golf.
Edit: If anything it could be lowered aswell. Maybe to 32 events max as then if players played every week for 32 weeks there would be an equal divide between
1-8 weeks 100% 9-16 weeks 75% 17-24 weeks 50% Over 24 weeks 25%
Plus in real life the 100% multiplier is a quarter of 52 weeks and maybe this is the reason why.

So my question now is is this being tweaked again? And if so when?

Their previously earned points would still be only getting 25% worth of points if their past events fell into that category of over 24 weeks ago.

Great job guys! I am sure most of us take for granted what you all do, but thank you for all the dedication to making this tour the best it can be. Like the NFL, if it needs changes, make it. I dropped from 109 to 184, but seeing the explanation it makes perfect sense as I started on the PGA, then self demoted to the Web., My new adjusted WGR shows a drop twice as much for my time on the Web, and a steady climb now that I'm on the Euro.

These guys are great are they not. You should be punished for not playing and playing needs be rewarded. This brings wgr into a whole new game to watch.

What classes as being Active or Inactive? If you've registered for an event in the past 4 weeks you are active. Some people make it into Invite only events (ie Hyundai Tournament of Champions) which can reset their inactive state even if they aren't currently playing - not sure if that's what happened in your case.

And by help, I mean everyone ahead of me needs to start sucking so I can get right back up into the top 10 This is the link to the WGR mirrored banners that match your banner methodology: tgctours.proboards.com/post/28747To change your banner: -click on 'Profile' -on the right side of the page, click on 'Edit Profile' -click on 'Personal' -scroll down to the signature box I think you can just replace this: GkjQz8p.png with this: xOBiOPv.png
