OSWIN PULLS OUT OF JOBURG OPEN
After hitting a -1 in the first round in concrete conditions Oswin went straight back out for round 2 in hopeful mind that the course had been watered. Unfortunately they hadn't and when he was +3 thru 4 he had a sudden attack of toothache.
"It was hurting. Maybe if I just drank some water it would be fine but water seems short in supply right now around here."
It's Oswins first ever withdrawal and the usual grinding mentality he loves couldn't overcome the Joburg Open.
"I know, I know. It's not in the spirit of the game. I'm gonna regret it but when I was running balls up through the fairway and it still wasn't holding the green my patience snapped. I then hit my driver from 12 yards out and the ball rebounded to me from the flagstick so I decided to do that for a few shots. It was more fun."
Oswin's PR has now been shot and hopefully he can start rebuilding his reputation next week. Until then, brush your teeth folks, toothache smarts.

Just played my first two rounds in the Joburg open. I chewed my pluck out In The first round and could only get it round in +4 when someone else on XB1 is knocking it round in 59 that totally disheartend me. Don't get me wrong 59 is a great knock and Im Pleased for him but it totally knocks your end in for the next round knowing your that far back. The result I'm afraid is another missed cut that's four in a row. See you next week

Disastrous tourney for me..72 67 68 71 (-6) Didn't enjoy this setup at all.lost interest halfway through. a lot of greens impossible to hold again it seemed.. Enough said! Good luck to all of you yet to start your tourneys n well played to those of u managing to shoot low numbers out there!

I'm sorry if my post offends anyone it's not meant too but I'm not finding this game easy at the minute, maybe if I had holed three or four of the birdie chances I had in the first round things might gave been different. Yeah Tony I found the greens tough, it seems like I need to allow more borrow these days than I used too for some reason, I don't know if somethings changed with the putting.

Went back and played setup D and I made a mistake. It is more playable than I thought. I was thinking another round.
Sorry.

If you know me well enough, I am just like this but there is something that keeps me in love with this game and I have no idea what it is.

Ron, we aren't using Setup D anymore. They decided to alternate between the normal version and setup B because D was a Par 71.

As chaos said Les, no need to apologise. We all like a moan at times Mr Humphreys moans even when he's shooting -18 in a round.. As for the greens this week I rarely hit them in regulation rawhide comes to mind!! "Keep Rollin Rollin Rollin"
