Thanks wagtunes for your good tips. My problem rely more on the strength I have to use in my puts. Shorter puts, within 3-4 feet, is not that bad, but beyond that I never know how hard I have to put. I tried to use the marker in practice, and didn't find it was doing anything. For me, it seems to be about the weight I put in the put. Also, I have to decipher the green speed which changes sometimes to 187 feet, to 125 feet, etc. I figured out it was the speed of the green, but don't have a clue on how to use it properly. I know that when I put on a 187 speed green, it's like I'm putting on ice! The ball keeps on rolling forever! Maybe the marker will help. I'll try it upon your suggestion. Happy New Golf Year! The marker will definitely help a lot especially on the downhill putts. For most putts of any length, usually bringing putter back to my back foot gets it relatively close on mid range (7 to 12 ft) putts. Longer putts, a little past that. Again, depends on green speed too. Like I said, hardest part of this game and won't come overnight. I am speaking as a relatively below average player as I am currently in Class E. Just keep at it.

Thanks guys for your help - couple things of note
1. I ended up picking harder versions of 4 of the 6 courses 2. You guys are all shooting much better these days
Here is the final course selection Round 1 - Old Beaver Creek - Championship Edition Round 2 - Dunholme Manor Golf & CC (Sunday) Round 3 - Wildfire Ridge Golf Club - Setup B Round 4 - Shawnee Creek Golf Club Round 5 - The Denali Club - Fairbanks Alaska Round 6 - TGC Players Club - Stadium (Tour Setup D)
That will add a few strokes to the scores and toughen it up just a bit more. Need it to be as difficult as possible while still playable to help sort everyone out a bit better. Thanks for all your testing. Will post the new sorting rules and a fresh new leaderboard tomorrow afternoon/evening. Stay safe and have a happy new year!

I don't think I'll get all these in by the deadline Doyley so here's the first four. 1) -3 2)-3 3) +6 4) +3
I don't know if you can extend the deadline as I would like to finish but it looks like you have enough data. With the holiday it's been tough to get in the weekly tourney and q school.

As long as you already own your card, you won't need to, I'm guessing

Honestly, I find scoring cut-offs to be a bit strange with Q-school due to the fact that the tour is republished every month, which means vastly different winds every month. You could have one month where all the winds are close 6 mph or below and the courses would be chewed up. On the other hand, you could have 15-16 mph winds on half of the courses which might make it impossible to hold greens close to the pins, or even get to the green at all. Even if the winds all average out, high winds at Shawnee is completely different than dealing with high winds at OBC or Denali. Without being able to set even the range of the wind, you could easily find variances in scores larger than the range of the cut-offs. The direction could also cause pretty high score variances over the course of 108 holes. Good luck with settings these ranges appropriately. The answer to to your question is to have only 1 QSchool per season. Would you wait 11 months ( nov16) for a video game ?

Everyone that already has a card does not need to play this new qschool. It's only for new members. Just needed you guys to help provide some scores before we went live.

What is the likelyhood of making qschool a permanent tour rather than month by month? That way every new player gets the same wind conditions and gives a better spread of how players have faired?

I wish I could opt out as a member of TGCTours and reapply because I know I wouldn't be in CC-D with the new Q-Schools.

Keep playing like you did in Q-School and no doubt you'll move up through the tours. Your score would probably have put you somewhere in CC-B if it was for real, although we have changed out some of the courses for tougher pins. Do you think it's too tough to get promoted/demoted in the CC tours?
