Really fun tourney.....had a great 1st round...... sitting on the tee on the first par 3 in rd 2 my son who is sitting next to me playing lego star wars on his new kindle fire.....daddaddaddaddaddaddaddaddaddaddaddaddaddad...what? look at this!!!!....ok....In the mean time I had dialed in the loft for the 5iron shot.......thats cool son......take my swing.....never switch off of the 8iron that was auto selected.....kurplunk! tournament over....
Who needs other clubs??? everyone shot lights out with just 4 I was surprised.

That's because the 5 iron can act as every club from 5-PW with the shot shaper box.

It's no biggie and was to be expected. I love using the 84% lofted 5i, it's a perfect inbetween an 8 and 7i. I took that directly onto the course in The Open de Peru. I don't have a PC and cannot check to see if there were any entries, the last time I checked (XB1 and PS4) Vegas 310 on the XB1 was at -25. |

Had a great time playing this tourney. Believed I used the correct clubs everytime. Look forward to the next one. Maybe have a one shot or two shot penalty for anyone who uses the wrong club. Have them hit a one ft putt on the green for the penalty stroke. I know it is all on the honor system but if you do hit the wrong club you dont have to quit.

Jim, i just came across this thread and looking at the OP i think the tourney deadline has passed.

Are you sure...this tour doesn't show up on PC when I search it...must have expired There was a fault (at HB's end) with publishing Tours and Tourneys last week. I think the way I set it up was for this tourney to expire on Saturday 26th, but the tourney was published 3 days (on the game, consoles and PC) after I created it. My intention was so that it didn't interfere too much with the TGCT events, which took a week off. |

TGC doesn't allow us to de select our clubs, which makes it kind of difficult as the vast majority of us have our club selection on auto. I imagine it's easy to go into auto pilot mode when playing too. I made sure my 6 year old wasn't around when I played as she is an attention seeker. I like your idea about a 1 or a 2 shot penalty. Feedback I have received from players is that they would prefer the 3w in the bag instead of the driver. Maybe I'll organise the next 4 Clubber as 3w, 5i, SW and Putter. |
