Having scraped through the cut by 1 shot a good weekend looks like it'll get me in the top 50.

I'm certainly looking forward to playing my own course on the Euro Tour next week. Just hope I don't miss the cut! Can you give me a few tips on your course I don't want to be in the same situation next week. It's certainly exciting waiting to see if you've made the cut but I would rather have the excitement at the other end of the leaderboard. I think the wind will be a big factor in how to play the course, there are a few risk/reward holes that can offer birdies and eagles in low winds but if it gets up think carefully whether or not its worth the risk. The same goes for holes like the 5th that require a draw or fade from the tee if you are to hit driver, depending on the wind it can be more sensible to hit a 5w or 3i and leave a long approach. The greens themselves have a few subtle breaks but there are very few steep slopes so as long as you can get your approach within 15ft or so you'll have a good chance of sinking a few putts. Driving will also be important as some of the landing areas for the driver are quite narrow and should you miss the fairway on the longer par 4's you won't be able to reach the green in regulation. If the winds are less than 10mph I think you'll need to shoot between -12 and -14 to make the cut, if the wind gets up for one or both rounds it'll perhaps drop to -10.

Scrub what I wrote earlier, I played my first two rounds my putting's sh%$ but that's for another post.
