I'm not sure I'm supposed to start this thread but I thought I'd go ahead. Wheels have officially come off for me. Awful. I'm not sure I should try to work through it or just take a break. I practiced this course a lot and had my strategy set with the tiny postage stamp greens, where I wanted to be off the tee, which side of the greens to attempt to land, etc. Nothing went to plan. I lipped putts and chips constantly. Doubt my GIR was even 50% with everything just rolling off the greens. Winds got up around 14 on some holes. Rain on the Friday course, which I don't even know if that affects anything - didn't seem to slow the ball down at all. Saturday and Sunday course pin placements gave me a ton of issues. But I don't think the course was the problem. I just flat out crapped my way all around this thing. The hole felt tiny. Every tree scared me. I miscalculated a dozen times with the wind and hit traps. I was either short of the green or bouncing it short and watching it roll right off the back. Complete stink fest. I should have walked away on the first hole. Good drive and decent approach on the par 5. I had a 60 yard pitch remaining and went back and forth deciding what to do...trying do some math in my head. I decided to loft a pitch, but I didn't realize I left it on lob wedge and hit my pitch about 30 yards. Ugh. Should have walked away. Pretty sure a missed cut for me. I claimed that last week but this time around I really felt like I am losing my grip on the game. I've never been that good but whoa...this was bad. I'm really thinking I don't even belong on this tour to be honest. I should go to CC-C and have to work my way up again. Apologies to my newly minted rivals. I'm not even close to challenging you guys. 67 65 69 73 (+1 my gosh)

Hi Yaters. You beat me by a minute to the locker room spoiler thread. I just finished it on PC myself. That fourth round is going to destroy a lot of pretty scorecards. Don't be too down on yourself for the 1 over. At least your better rounds came first so that you'll make cut and take in some cash. I don't think you'll miss the cut as a -12 is a very solid starting score. A few people in the course discussion thread were getting -8 or -9 in every practice round and that's just not what I experienced. Over about a dozen plays on the course in practice, I probably averaged -3 or -4. My best was a -8 one time on the Friday course and I was able to match that on the Friday course in play tonight.
This is a difficult course. Especially when you put 16 mph winds into the equation like we saw in the first 10 holes of round 4. I predicted that my score would fall somewhere between my Ballyntyne National and The Red October GC&CC score and it did:
67 64 65 69
Not good enough for a trophy, but good enough for some money!

Yaters don't be too down on yourself that's some good scoring, you'll easily make the cut with those first two rounds. 16 mph winds on the Sunday pins? Good grief. Good luck webbers, this course is for the disciplined grinders, next week at harvest hills will see scores in the -40s pushing -50.

Didn't think a web course could be this easy, but I think it will serve as a nice reprieve after a tough week 1 & 3 on the web. I think we will see -50's on this one.

Had a mare of a start to my first round! Lipped out for birdie on 1 then triple bogied the 6th with some ridiculously bad putting and double bogied the par 3 next hole! Ended up +2 at the turn but pulled my finger out on the back 9 to finish -5 for the round .... phew!

Triple bogey, double bogey, then end up at -5? I'd take that any day!

This was a bit of a grind. Fine line between challenging and frustrating and being a bit of a bushwhacker I found the course to be more of the latter.
Was one of those weird 4 rounds - bitter/sweet. Like 1st round hole whatever, maybe 13th or 15th. Got an 80% swing on approach to a tough green, had an awful lie 30 something yards short of the hole, searched for a calculator (i tend no never use maths for this game) worked out 82% for the lie of 45 and then worked out in order to get to 30 something yards i need to, aaaargh, no idea what or how i worked it out anymore (maths sucks) either way, came up with a number and pitched it in.
Or flopping it in for eagle on 18th.
Or round 2 on a par 5 on the back 9 somewhere - the one with the split fairway, hit my 3rd to 4ft from the pin. Guaranteed bird. Aimed an inch right of hole, missed the hole by at least 3 inches on the left and by the time the ball stopped, had 31 ft par putt. Pffft, missed that one too.
Last round suddenly had an extra number of sub 100% swings, more like sub 85%, but by then I was just looking forward to get this over with anyway, so it did not bother me too much.
64, 68, 66 and 70. Hope canthitstraight/Luke is right and 12 under will make the cut, at least the 90 mins would not be totally wasted.

More consistent 2nd round just one bogey resulting from a missed 4ft birdie putt that rolled down the hill 20 ft!! Ended up -8 for the 2nd round and a total of -13 at the half way stage... don't think that'll be enough to make the cut with the standard of the guys playing here in the Web but fingers crossed ;-)

Are you a mouse user, Marc? The whole sub 85% thing seems to hit me every so often. I was lucky to have it happen to me just once throughout these 4 rounds and it was 93%. All the other sub 100% shots were in the high 90's. Sometimes I get it real bad though. Just the other night, I had sub 85% shots happening every three shots or so. I'm wondering if it's an internet lag thing. Or perhaps a mouse thing.

I have a slow, proper 3rd world (2 mb) line, seems like the sub 100's come in batches, could be that the connection speed drop a bit in speed temporary and then more low% shots, could also be fps related as a sub 100 tee is more likely to be followed by a sub 100 approach, some themes more prone to sub 100 swings. At least this is my experience. Maybe its just another version of ball squirt or randomisation for all I know.

Just practising this course frustrated the hell out of me.
Here's to hoping I can scrape together a decent first two rounds to at least make some more cash. Keep that cash streak going.
Money money money!

I recovered from +5 to -3 in my first round. A triple bogey 7 on the 6th was horrific.

I wanted to make those Sunday pins tough for you guys but combine that with 16 mph winds and that's just brutal.
Good luck everyone! (Muahaha)
