I really don't know what to say about this course. It is truly a spectacle, imo, in it's beauty, but it plays very deceptively. I had a really hard time on the greens. I hated #s 5 and 9 especially. I just couldn't maintain a rhythm around this place and it happened 3 of the 4 rounds. Oh, well. It was pretty.
Also, I used to visit Venice probably monthly for a year or so while my family and I lived in the Pordenone region. Gorgeous, and I miss it there, dearly.

Certain courses just flow better than others. I liked OAC..scored very well in practice and pretty good in the tournament(-31 total) but it just never really gave me a good "feeling" when I played a round. I knew where to hit it and where I'd be rewarded, but the course was a bit choppy for me in terms of layout. Absolutely beautiful course, but didn't flow well for me overall.

Four rounds under 70... Good advance, but with such an amount of missed putts can't be happy at all.

Have not posted for ages been busy struggling to get rounds in let alone post but what a course best i have played for a long time so well made lots to look at and had you thinking what shots you had to take. Finished at -21 dont believe that will get me in top thirty as eagles are to be had here only nightmare hole was 10, par as good as a birdie on that hole but really enjoyed course. Pablo thanks for the signature card hope i have put it in right soon find out.

What a gorgeous course!
In two rounds, I was +1 and -11. I really should make a habit of playing 1 practice round. I always seem to do so much better in round 2.
That darn hole 8 has a massive downhill on the front of the green. I actually made a very light putt that rolled off the green in round one, followed by a lob wedge that landed on the green and rolled right back off again. What a nightmare!
I can't say enough good about the course, though. And it looks so amazing. Beautiful.

Yep it really is a great course - kept me guessing through all 4 Rounds.
Finished up at -21 but it was nearly a controller through the TV after Hole 6 and a Triple Bogey! Those dam uphill greens, 3 strokes in a row I foolishly played my usual flop shot and even landing 15 yards past the pin it just ended up back at my feet, I need to practice some other approach shots.

Pitch shots work better in that situation as you can control backspin more... I'm practicing power control (around 60/70%) and just a little loft to avoid the slope that give you back your ball

The key to #6 was to hit to the rough left side of the green. You are then left with around 40yds to the pin(depending on wind and travel) and you can throw a dart(pitch shot) right at the pin and have an easy tap in birdie.

Now keep in mind this only worked well for me in my practice rounds..which is pretty typical for me. My bogey free -11's and -12's in practice routinely become -5's and -6's with 4 or 5 bogeys.

If I remember correctly I played that hole -2 for the tournament..give my method a try for one round..whataya got to lose? bogey-par-bogey in the first 3 rounds.... a double is missing so I will try your method and see what I can do I will need a sub 64 round to "make the cut" (avoid demotion) so it will be a different round for me... I will try to attack all the pins and see the results as a 68 or a 78 will not make difference after the 80 on the 1st round !
