Week 13: TGC @ The Bavaro

Welcome to Week 13 of the Speed Golf.

This week we will be playing TGC @ The Bavaro, by experienced designer wendy445. This has hosted a PGA Tour event on TGCTours already and is one of my favourite courses in the Boreal theme, despite being designed almost a whole year ago.

You can find the challenge under Tours, named "speed-golf-w13".

PS: Speed Golf now has improved round timing! Your time starts when you hit your first stroke, and ends when you hole the 18th!
We still have the warmup hole for a) tradition and b) backup timing.

An amazing debut by DoubtfulObelisk saw him pick up the prize for Week 13. Congratulations! A 55 in any round is fantastic, especially in only 14 minutes!

Just in case anyone else is wondering, speed golf tournaments run from Wednesday through to Tuesday morning.

So how many of you actually practice the course before doing a speed run? I feel like I could shave an extra minute off just by playing the course once.

Chaoz: I always seem to miss your twitch feed of your speed runs. When I go to your twitch channel, I don't see any archived videos of pass feeds. Do you have any videos that are available on youtube so that we might learn from your speedy ways?

Yeah, he needs to fix his twitch so that it archives.

I know Chaoz does one practice round before he attempts it, a lot of people go in cold also.

I don't play practice rounds. I actually use this as a warm up for other rounds I'm about to play.

I always go in cold - mainly because I never remember what a course is like anyway!

I went in cold, but have played the course a few times in the past, so I was familiar enough with it. Maybe could have shaved a few seconds off with a practice round beforehand?

I played pretty well and shot -11 or 12 I think? Nowhere near fast enough I suspect though.

That was incredible, -11 in around 14 minutes and 45 seconds. I played better than most normal rounds. Still missed 2 or 3 putts and also hit the pin on one hole but it stayed out.
Can we play all rounds like this?

Next should be speed golf with no aids!!!
