As this question has come up in another thread, I'll place it here:
Still unlimited crossovers (either way) in Season 2?

Whats the benefit of formally requestin goin from One side to the other? Are we all not eligable to play both tours anyways? Plus does this hav any effect on Ryder Cup team qualification? Mainly for playoff purposes - although there's a small tweak in 2016 schedule that should appeal to those going for both titles (the final events don't overlap). We'll post Ryder Cup info shortly but long/short of it - you can make Euro team from either tour. I was looking at the PGA Tour and European Tour schedules and I noticed that the playoffs for both are in the same weeks (46-50). Will this be changed eventually? I know there are some (Marco comes to mind) that wanted to try for both playoffs in season one, and there will be those in season two that may want to try it if the playoffs are indeed separated.

Isn't there there a solution by allowing players who qualify to have multiple tour cards like in RL?

The first 3 events are at the same time - the final 2 are in back to back weeks - you'll have to do some fancy shooting to qualify for both finals but it will be possible assuming you are a dual card holder - which you only are if you win on the other tour or win a major/wgc event. EDIT - there was an error in the dates for the Euro Schedule - fixed now - final events now do not overlap Doyley

Seems difficult, but I think a top level player could pull off dual finals.

Qualifying for both finals will indeed be one of my main objectives for season 2. And that's exactly the reason why I switched from Euro to PGA this year. I'll probably need the first three playoff tournaments to settle myself within the Top 30 spots that qualify for the Tour Championship, because I'm also planning to crossover as much as I can.
The European Tour is a different story, I would need a win, a couple of good results in the bigger tournaments, incl. Major's/WGC, and Top 60 is a fact. (around 1.2M would be sufficient I reckon).
This is all theory .. getting the win might prove to be a hell of a task. And reaching the PGA Top 30 will not be a gimme as well, no matter what schedule I choose to play.

Hey Scott, I have a scenario in mind and I'll use yourself as an example. I'm curious how this will work out in season 2.
Let's say you: - Focus on playing PGA/WGC/Majors only during season 2
- Completely ignore the 'regular' European Tour tournaments
- So in total, you play 8 tournaments that will count towards the Race to Dubai rankings
- You win $ 2.0M in these 8 tournaments combined
- You don't win any of those 8 tournaments
- You are in 20th place on the Race to Dubai ranking prior to the final tournament
The question is, do you qualify for the Race to Dubai final? Knowing that you did win the 2015 Abu Dhabi Championship which granted you a 2015-2017 exemption for the European Tour.
Does this make sense?
The underlying question ofcourse is .. can you ignore a tour completely and still qualify for the final tournament? Or do we need a minimum # of tournaments played before one can qualify?

I was thinking the same thing since I won the Open Championship which carries exceptions, but that being said i think Doyley said he wasn't going to count any past wins towards exemptions of future tournaments with the exception of the previous year's winners. The reason is it would take too much effort to keep up with all the possible exemptions from all the tournaments out there.

Or do I have to win on the PGA again this year to qualify for both playoffs?

Do last season's wins count towards dual cards? Or do I have to win on the PGA again this year to qualify for both playoffs? Give me a couple of days to answer this one - have to talk it over with Tim
