Hi Jim and friends I knew it already but after seeing the stats of my second Scarpacci Acres round I had the confirmation that I really need to work on my putt... 79% FIR (100% in my second round), 81% GIR (94% in my second round) - 64 putts (1.78 per hole ) Yesterday evening I practiced on the CC Tune Up but I'm really struggling more on the strenght than reading the breaks...90% of my putts finishes 2-3 yds short to the hole: that means that "2 putt" for a par become normal. I tried to be more aggressive but the risk is to pass the hole by 5-7 yards if you just miss the break of an inch ending in a 3 putt bogey (if not worst)... The problem is not the maths or the marker...is just the lenght of the backswing animation that I've not yet figured out... I will have to find a way to practice the putt without playing the entire courses, maybe focusing on a 3 holes practice course with difficult green...I hope to find a way to manage it Have a nice day Roberto Switch your camera to the one that is behind the golfer and a bit further out. Not the high overhead..but the mid-height and further out...can't remember the setting off the top of my head..I think it's camera one or two. Since I have started using this camera I have dropped an average of 6-8 strokes per round and it has me now shooting under par as opposed to right on par or just over. It's been the difference for me. I was averaging 32-36 putts per round...in the past 2 tournaments I'm down to 27-28. When I miss a putt now I have a tap in of 1-2 feet. Before I would miss the putt and have 7-8 feet coming back. I still over hit..but not as much.

I threw up a -9 in round one yesterday of the Tune Up...then plummetted to earth with a -3 in round 2. Still...12 under after 2 rounds is pretty good. I'll continue today with R3 and R4 . The scoring is there if you hit the right spots on the greens...otherwise..very tricky putts.

Actually there is a putting practice course. If I remember correctly it's called Col Sanders clutch putt practice. Somewhere in the Driving Range forum I read the following which from my experience is pretty exact on medium greens: 30 ft - Upper edge of putter touches bottom of ball 40 ft - Putter covers ball 50 ft - Lower edge of putter touches top of ball From my experience you hit 10 ft when your putter is on the back of your right shoe (for a right hander of course . Anything between 10 and 30 ft and above 50 ft is pure experience and estimate. To match distance on uphill or downhill putts I keep to the following (also from Driving Range forum). Uphill: Divide slope by 2, add the result plus another 2 ft to the slope. Add that to the distance. Example: Distance to hole is 15 ft, slope is +6 ft. You have to add 5 ft (6/2 plus 2) to the distance, so you will aim for 20 ft. Downhill: Subtract 2 ft from the slope and subtract that from the distance. Example: Distance to hole is 15 ft, slope is -6 ft. You have to subtract 4 ft (6-2), so you will aim for 11 ft. Best set the yellow marker to the desired distance and your putting will greatly improve.

As much as score matters, so does a realistic golfing experience for me. I don't enjoy the robot approach even if it costs me stokes. Little bit of a balance between performance and enjoyment on my end. Just my take on the game

Little bit of a balance between performance and enjoyment on my end. Just my take on the game I don't use any calculations at all in the game...I look at the wind and adjust and hit it..I look at the putt and adjust and hit it. I can't be bothered doing calculations to get better. Will it keep me mired in the lower tiers?...more than likely..but if I wanted to play calculus..I would have bought The Calculus Club.

-10 on first practice round. Was -8 after 10, I can even choke on practice rounds. Still if I can manage 4 rounds like that I would think I'd be on the way to the web. It is a big IF though. I'm only ever constantly bad.

I'm only ever constantly bad. I've played the tune up 2 times and put up a -8 and a -9 I think in the 1st round. I only managed a -18 total both times for my final score. The A set up for me plays the best...I struggle on B and C..don't do too bad on the D set up. It will be interesting. I've set a goal of -20...we'll see where that gets me.
