I just did a warm up of 3 holes on Baly member(chosen from favourites list) before going over to start round 2, and it recorded my 3 warm up holes as part of tournament.
So beware, you can check the wind but know that if you hit a ball on this course(no matter from what list you choose it from) and you have started tournament before this point it will be recorded as tournament play.

That's interesting - maybe report on HB website - I'm sure that they didn't intend it to work that way

But really, is this a bug? I mean if you are playing in a RL tourney, you don't get to go out and play a practice round. Hey, i dunno, just sayin'

This did not effect me on PS4. I played 2 rounds back to back, then had a sizeable break in between. When I came back I played opening 4-5 holes in normal play round then I quit out and went back to complete rounds 3+4.

Hey, i dunno, just sayin' if you play a course via play round or favorites list, it shouldn't count towards a tournament or tour - in my opinion at least. You should have to enter the tour/tournament via those options in game for it to count.

Gotta say, that if you are entered in a tourney......you should not be able to play practice rounds on that course. It's not as if you can't play somewhere else. Hey, i don't care, it doesn't really matter to me, but if we want to keep it REAL, then you just can't do it.......

which ever way its decided is ok with me as long as I understand which way it is and as long as applies to everyone
If we had a way to warm up before round then I would/will use that,I didn't play a round just 2/3 holes to practice feel for draws and fades
Oh and this is on a pc

Thats how I played my first round, I chose the course from my favorites and played the course and entered it as my first round. Does it really make a difference ?

I would imagine it would, how would someone be able to check you entered the correct score. If you played in tournament, you would be on the leaderboard.

But once you've started you shouldn't have the option to practice ..

If you submitted your score from the round under the normal play menu and not the tournament, yes that makes a big difference. It won't count if we don't see it when we check scores and you'll get a DQ. Only rounds played in the tournament can be submitted for that tournament on the TGC site. Hopefully, one day, we'll get an API and eliminate the need to even submit scores. But for now, this is our best and only option.

I created a driving range & practice facility just for that purpose, and a chip & putt practice course. Actually its more a Pitch and putt course. since the putter is limited to 144 feet distance if your lucky, when the pin is 200-300 feet away, you can chip or pitch up to the hole then putt ... or putt the long distance lag for practicing those LDP's (long distance putts) I have a few enemies that auto-rate my stuff low ... regardless of what I do ... LOL ... don't pay any attention to the rating ... its a good warm-up tool and there is a tougher version if interested (putting surfaces)

Actually in real life golfers do get to practice on the courses before the tournament. They do it on Mondays and Tuesdays before the tournament
