Round 2 is tough with the wind. Just frustrating how I play my practice rounds so much better. In any case, it still will come down to whether or not your putter is hot. Was onIy able to put it together my last round. Speaking of practice rounds, I tend to only play one practice round nowadays. I used to play more but I started to cut back in the spring. That decision was kinda made for a few reasons. First, the weather started to get better here in the Midwest so I wanted to spend more time outside and secondly, I felt like I was wasting a lot of good rounds in practice and then overthinking things during the actual tournament rounds. Also, during my practice round, I'll play with ghost balls (I find them too distracting during a tournament) and I'm not too concerned about hitting really accurate shots. I kinda just hit some general shots, see what others have tried, and just try to get a layout of the land. If I end up getting in trouble, that's fine, because it's a practice round and I can practice what I may be able to do if I find myself in a not-so-ideal situation in the tournament. Now, have my scores improved from limiting my practice rounds? Meh, probably not really but I like no longer feeling deflated because I didn't shoot as well as I did during a practice round. Kinda off topic but I just thought I'd throw that out there anyway.
