It's probably been mentioned, but on the seasons page, a column for how many FedEx pts earned would be nice for the PGA side for season two.

The way I understand it is the Euro player would need to have a win on the PGA Tour, otherwise they are ineligible for the Fed-Ex Playoffs. I believe it's a PGA, WGC or Major win for a Euro player to play the FedEx. So only a very small handful of Euro guys are eligible. And you can't play both right? So Euro players that want to try and win the FedEx cup have to give up the race to Dubai?

But you need to play in the final event to win don't you? So you can't win both? Very, very unlikely. A Euro player that has a high $$ amount and a high FedEx pts amount would likely have to win event 1 and 3 for the RTD and then wins Events 2 and 4 for the FedEx to have a shot. The points reshuffle before the last FedEx event would make it almost mandatory to play the FedEx the last week to win that one. Then, they would have to have built a huge lead n the RTD $$$ standings to take a hit for a DNP in the last week there. So, yeah, very unlikely. But not impossible. Maybe 3 players have the chance to do this.

Oh so you don't have to play in the final Race to Dubai event to win like real life then? I thought you had to, hence saying it was impossible. I'm confused. Thank god I'm only in web haha.

In real life there is no need to play the final event (DP World Tour Championship) to win the Race to Dubai. McIllroy last year was declared as the winner of the R2D before the final event started. Race to Dubai is based on earned money (earned money=points). It is still an order of merit, so if you earned enough thru the season you can win it without participating in the final event (s).

If McIlroy didn't play the last tournament by choice he would not have won the Race to Dubai bonus pool, so you have to play it.

Yeah bonus pool ok,but the title of winning the race stays. Playing it or not.

And who in their right mind would turn down 1.5 million dollars by not playing it? As we don't actually get the physical cash then surely for the benefit of the tour you have to play the last event to be crowned champion.

As we don't actually get the physical cash then surely for the benefit of the tour you have to play the last event to be crowned champion. Forcing somebody just to play an event to get crowned, instead of playing the Tour Championship to have a shot for the big thing to win both Tours, is a bad solution imo. If u want somebody not to win both tours then create something similar to the FedExCup for the final event of the European Tour.Let the top 30 after the BMW Masters play the DP World Tour Championship. Reset the points before the start of the Tournament like on the PGA Tour, and letshave a real final without the chance of having a R2D Champion after the BMW Masters. I know it isn't what the European Tour plays in Real Life, but playing the European Final Stretch in September is unrealistic too. Furthermore, after both finals we could implement a tournament including the Participants of both final stages (Top 30 PGA, Top 30 Euro) to play for the World Championship Golfer of the Year No Purse, just glory
