We're going to have a period where people can nominate captains for the World Team and Team USA. Rules: - Can't nominate yourself
- Give a (very) brief summary on why you are nominating said person
- Nominee can't be in the top 10 WGR of either USA or the rest of the world (excluding Europe)
We'll close down nominations after the weekend and then depending on how many we get, we'll whittle it down to a manageable number per team. If someone is already nominated, please nominate them again if they are your pick. The more nominations someone gets the better chance they make it to the final vote.
We'll then hold a poll for each team the following week where the winner will be named captain.

I nominate Irving/Jason Wert for Team USA Captain
I nominate Canuck/Andre Quenniville for Team World
Both because they're very involved in the community and know most of the guys around here.

I nominate Misternic for team USA. Misternic has put in a lot of time to help create what we have with tgct today.
I nominate Daniel Waring for team World. Daniel has been around since the beginning and is active in the tgct community.
I don't know either person personally but from what I can gather, both pretty good guys

I agree with Andre being a good choice for world captain. Such a nice guy who is very active in the community.

I know this is just nominations to get a list, but I thirdly nominate Andre Q. Would be a good choice for the worlds. (I want the US to win so choosing a "crazy canuck" for the world side can only help our chances)

Ayako Akiyama (World)
There will be a lot of Aussies and Canadians that qualify so I feel a Japanese flavour will make this event seem more global. Active member of the community too.
Jeremy Blaylock (US)
Controversial figure. Not shy of knowing his own mind. Good old Taste. Would be an entertaining captain.

Thanks guys for the nominations....if chosen I will lead team World to a crushing defeat over those puny Americans...  My nominations would be Jason (Irving Levine) and Ayako (Kireishoujo) for team World. A female captain would be a first for the Presidents Cup! |

Hmm, so should I campaign myself as an upcoming and in-form player deserving of a captain's pick for the tournament, or should I campaign myself as a captain who's good enough to know good players? LOL

I would nominate Tyler Duke (theduke21) for the USA and a split vote for Andre CrazyCanuck and Ayako Akiyama (Kireishoujo) for World.
The split vote because Andre does so much for the forums and Ayako is, well, a real honest to God woman playing a video game online.
