This is exactly why I don't feel too bad about being 3 shots short at -46. Sure I left 4 or 5 out there, but Ian left 8 or 9 out there in that 1st round alone by the looks of it. Winning is tough, just got to keep playing well consistency and hope one week things come together That's exactely how I see it. Not much sadness about not being at the very top! Couple of weeks ago I was happy like a baby when I made the cut, so what? anquila1978: Great course! Really, really enjoyed it... and also would have enjoyed if I haven't played that good! Keep at it and things can happen. My -31 at the Open was a score i never thought had a chance of winning. The key is just to play your best, practice hard and try to be consistent. Anyone can shoot a 54, but if you shoot 4 x 60 that is better.

Well that was a pretty odd tournament. 60 60 67 60. I'm gonna take the half full approach and be thrilled with my T6 finish. Been struggling to get a top 10 result since I joined the tour. I'm going to further compliment myself by saying I'm very proud of the final round 60, which came after totally falling apart in round 3, and achieved it in the stiffest winds I encountered in all 4 rounds. I didn't let a couple of wonky drives early on throw me off, and even birdied what I think was either the par 5 6th or 7th after going bunker to bunker and still concentrating on making the best up shot I could to leave myself a viable birdie putt. I've found it a lot easier to make birdies now that I'm confident that even if i run it past the hole by 8-10 feet, I'm going to make the putt coming back up.
So now that I've achieved my goal of a Top 10 finish, my next goal isn't to win one, but to keep playing really steady and try to get my WGR in the Top 100 by season's end. Sitting at 180 at the moment, and hoping I jump a good 15-20 spots w this latest result.

Last 8 tournament rounds - 61,61,59,62,63,60,60,59 Result - a T7th and a 3rd. Good ol boring consistency is the key

Up and down more than consistent, especially with putting. I just looked at my scorecards from this week and I had a massive 105 putts! 13 more than the winner Ian. Funnily enough I trailed him by 13 shots in the end.
