And what wind speeds are people getting in Rounds 3 & 4? I was getting 11mph in R3 & having just started R4, I'm getting 8mph??? I thought one of those two rounds was meant to have 3mph speeds??? Those are the same winds I got, Paul. Nothing below 8 mph. Pretty tough, especially with the pins in round four. I finished 69-67-64-69 = -15 Still kicking myself over the first round and I couldn't get anything close on approach in the fourth. Be interesting to see where the total gets me. With the winds, anything beyond -20 is a great score. Hope you turned it around in your final round and good luck to all!

Just capped off tourney with an -8 on the final round to finish at -19. Really digging the different pin placements and new swing mechanic...only had a few instances I didn't 100% and a couple of those were intentional.
Wind on Rd 2 was brutal, can't wait for that to be fixed so it's completely even, but not a gamebreaker that's for sure.

And well done on your -15 bud. Fancy swapping your 3rd Round 64 with my 76!?!?!?!?!?! I think that having gone -6 in those 19mph winds on R2 I made a big error in taking R3 for granted but to finish 11 shots worse is unacceptable (as was the wife's ironing!!!). The pin placements in R3 were bloody tough and I made the grave mistake of going straight for the pin and not one paid off as the approaches were all running off the green. Anyhow, lesson learned for the next tournament hopefully. I reckon -14 or -15 will actually be relatively high say maybe top 20 or 25 but it's just so difficult to say as it really could be a topsy turvy tournament!

I think as Steve rightly said, anything around -20 can be considered a great score (so maybe I shouldn't be too harsh on myself)! Really interested to see what the lowest score will be. I think to date it's around -24 on the XB1. I would say you're not talking far off that though I won't be surprised if someone goes as low as -30, which would be exceptional.

The wind is now the same for all rounds for everyone in the tournaments, and if the direction of the wind is also the same, then the wind has already been fixed. Everyone should be having 17-19 mph winds for round 2. No fix needed, it was already fixed before this tournament began.

As for the top scorers, I think I saw that Ryan Hammond finished -34, which is mind-boggling. He's on the fast track to the PGA.

Yep, that is definitely PGA level Steve and I can safely say that will NOT be beaten. I was just thinking how much it affects the mind when things aren't going well. I can't remember the hole but it was one where the drive left you approx 210 yards to the flag, which was right at the front of the green, and you could go straight over the water and land on the green leaving you an Eagle opportunity. Anyhow, what did this idiot do, he fully lofts a 3i thinking that would only reduce the roll when the ball landed, which of course it would have done except fully lofting a 3i also meant it only carried about 130 yards!!!!! Naturally that landed in the drink and the rest is history!

Absolutely. I was saying to someone that any under par score in those winds is an accomplishment. Clearly the golfing gods were looking over me when I got my -6. On another day, a few bad holes and frustration kicking in, that could easily be a +6. No doubt the gods will pop out for a cigarette break when I start rounds 3 & 4! And lo and behold, the gods not only took a fag break but they never came back and my challenge is over. A +5(76) in R3. Couldn't deal with those pins at all and my brain just gave way. Fuming after a great first two rounds. And to make matters worse, the wife was ironing next to me as I'm trying to play. The moment she did that I knew I should've walked away as she is seriously bad luck. Well I've told her now, she will NEVER be ironing when I play again! I can just picture the tension building in the room with every messed up hole. Oh and TIL "fag break"

I even said to her at one point 'can you not do the ironing in the kitchen?' She flatly refused the stubborn *****! I've decided no matter how sad it is, I am not playing a tournament again with her in the room. Period. Sorry, I know fag can mean a few things but in this case I was referring to British slang for a cigarette. Hope that clears that one up for anyone who thinks I was being homophobic

Yeah that was me, I did not realize people were playing the actual tournament so early, I was still playing practice rounds! My wind through three rounds has matched what I've been hearing on here in magnitude and direction.

wow just finished round 4 and the putting was brutal on the back nine. Salvaged a -5 and was not too stoked on that! Hadn't really bogeyed all tourney til 15 and 16 in that round I think. Could have been worse as I had a gnarly little 10 or so footer to save par on the 18 in the 4th round and drilled her home...so relieved. Not bad all in all. Ended with a -26: R1 - 63 R2 - 66 R3 - 63 R4 - 66

Those winds in round 2 were certainly a test for the mental strength.

Just need CC-A to not top -28 so I can get my exemption up to CC-B, preferably with Ryan Hammond not there anymore.
