How exactly does this work? The site says the earners of a Pro Tour card (Field is bottom 20% of PGA and Euro if I am correct plus top 75% of Web.com) is the total of Pro cards in the bottom 20% minus the top ten Web.com $$ earners. That parts makes perfect sense.
Where I have a question is the remaining cards. The top 75% of Web.com and the bottom 20% of the two Pro tours.. does that include inactive players?
"The remaining Pro Tour cards will be awarded to players based on money earned during the Web.com Tour Finals." Is this an aggregate of four events, or does each event grant a certain number of cards?

Also, once one qualifies for the Web.com Finals, does their $$$ stat reset to zero for just those four tournaments?

We are discussing this and getting the details sorted. Will announce asap. Thank you for the reply. I find the pros and cons of including the inactives on the PGA/Euro tour an issue. It would likely demote a large amount of inactives to Web.com, making that tour very thin where many of the Web.com players would move up. But in contrast, how can one expect someone that actively plays to have to compete for their top tour card when someone who is inactive to not have to. There are also the new players to the tours, etc. I am sure you have a firm grasp on the issues, and again I thank you for the reply. Take your time, I just thought maybe something was in place already. I do realize there are so many, many issues for the staff to deal with, so I appreciate this getting attention eventually.

We wouldn't demote inactives they would just lose their card. We will have slots for how many cards we want handed out. It'll likely be a trickle down effect as we restock the pro tours then back fill the Web.com
We have an insane amount of people signing up so I'm not worried about participation levels - just need to replace those that have left with those that are playing.
Expect exemption tweaks soon too to speed up that process.

Expect exemption tweaks soon too to speed up that process. If I may be so bold (staff may have looked at this)... Look at the CC-A to Web.com exemption process. The first two weeks a top 10 finish by a CC-A player on Web.com exemption was pushed back down to CC-A because only one exemption is given outside of ties. Then this week, the third week of CC-A to Web.com exemptions, the #1 and #2 players after three rounds from CC-A are #1 and #2 among the entire Web.com field. Perhaps a top 10 guarantees an exemption, or something similar?

Yep, we're already looking at that as well.

Anything to report? This is somewhat affecting if I should take my exemption or not on a PGA event. With the season almost over and no alternate event during the Fed Ex playoffs, I doubt I could make it above the bottom 20% of the Fed Ex Cup standings even if I was lucky enough to get my PGA card with just week 32 and 33 to work with.
The above means I play the Web.com Finals either way. I am entertaining whether I have a more realistic chance to make the top 10 in Web.com money by the end of the year OR can clear the bottom 20% in Fed Ex Cup points in two events unless there are alternate events during FedEx Cup playoffs?
Its no huge deal, but I hope the Web.com Finals details are revealed soon and also if there is a Web.com/CC-A similar event going to happen?
I love TGCT and all the really hard work put in, and at this point I am happy with whatever, I just try to play as well as I can and try to improve.

In real life the top 25 webbers get a pga tour card. 26-100 fight with 126-200 of the fed ex cup in the 4 web.com tour finals for the remaining 25 cards. Looking forward to seeing what TGCTours version is. I'm currently just over 100 but should get into top 100 by the finals so could be a Euro Tour card holder soon if I perform well in the finals. Yay!

Yay! This is kind of broad ranging, so sorry this is lengthy and covers a few different topics. Whats in place right now is different than that, but they may change it. I am in the top 25 $$ now but not the top 10 as the current rules show to guarantee a Pro card. I have been debating on passing on my two exemptions I currently have just so I can try to push into the top 10 in $$$ to guarantee my Pro card. There are wrinkles leading up to the Webby Finals that I am not clear about. To expand on the above where I mentioned passing on using an exemption: There are currently five players in week 33's PGA field on exemption from Web. The new rule states that a simple top 70 gets your card. I would be pretty sure that at least one, if not more than one gets their card as the field is 90-something right now. Now here is the problem for those with PGA card preference... The very next week after that is the slated start for the FedEx playoffs. There would be no way to accumulate enough FedEx points in one week to make the top 125 unless you went out and won the thing or top three.. I am not sure how FedEx pts. are broken down. Next week's event shows 500 FedEx pts. Is that the winner? The entire field? I know the points are top heavy, that's about it. Then what? Those that earned their card next week for PGA would be left out of the PGA events due to the FedEx playoffs. They could crossover to Euro events, but then come Webby Finals time they will likely be kicked back into it due to too low of FedEx pts. Some that are higher up on the Web money list might be better served to play out the Web events to try and get to the top 10 in $$$ (or those already in it to defend their position) by week 36 (the start of the Web Finals events). Lastly, those that earn/have exemptions from Web this week and the next couple of weeks. Those that have a PGA card preference would only have a choice of playing Euro events. That may be fine for some if they want to test themselves and/or try to jump their WGR higher. But there isn't any PGA event to play on exemption in weeks 34 and 35. Doyley has mentioned that details will be coming soon. I'm sure we will find out soon enough.

I'm sure we'll find out soon enough. With it being a new concept and getting more popular then they could have envisoned it's not been perfectly clear but it's highly understandable. If I were you I'd keep playing the web until noted further on the details, play crap though so I can beat you ;-) Plus, don't you get a pga card with a third victory anyway? You on two at the mo? Anyways, I look forward to the announcement.

Short and skinny I would stay on the Web and try to crack top 10...Details should be out tonight or tomorrow. Lot of background work (more than expected ) had to be done to come up with something that works for the tours as a whole.
Good part is that now that we've done it and know what's involved it becomes that much easier to do for season 2 and that much clearer for members from the outset.

One last question: Battlefield promotions with three wins in a season. Is their card guaranteed for an amount of time or no?

I was told the week 28 event will be changed eventually, but with everything the staff has going on, I fully understand why it may take a while. I'd rather they come up with the best possible end of year enjoyment for the many tours than have them concentrate on an issue that affected a smaller number of people due to an abuser of the system that caused headaches. If I were to get a third win (Big "if"), I would just plan accordingly and go by the rules.
