Well sir........
Where to start?
Hoodoo had some Voodoo for ol Grayson in the tourney! LOL
Practice rounds, I played several on all four setups... I played anywhere from -5 to -9 every single time.. I thought for sure I would have a decent week this week on tour
First round started off well enough I had seven birdies and two bogies for a -5 round and a tie for fifth place...
Second round: I fought and clawed my way around Hoodoo for a +1 and I was content with that... I really scraped by most holes
Third round: The Hoodoo Curse/ Gates of Hell opened... It was like the course decided ol fat boy had played well enough... I all the sudden caught a case of the Duck Hooks/ Slices off into the wild blue yonder... After seven holes I was at +14... I had an eleven on one of the holes.. Hitting it out of bounds like three straight times... I could not hit a straight shot to save my life.. It got to be so funny I called my wife and said LOOK AT THIS... She just shrugged her shoulders as if to say (Suck it up buttercup, its just a game).... One time I screamed DAMN IT at a shot... She walked in the room and said "REALLY HONEY" "OVER A GAME".... LOL
+17 for my third round.. the absolute worst score I have had since buying the game...
Fourth round was a blur, I was still hungover from round three, and plodded along trying to just hit a fairway, my putter had long since left me at this point, couldn't make a putt to save me life
+5 for round four I think it was..
What a devilish little monster Hoodoo turned out to be... I hit one drive on one of the holes so far right I think even the little fox behind the green was laughing..
Well done sir, you have single handedly caused more cursing this week from folks than since Ive been here.... Even with my horrific play, I absolutely loved this course... I was nervous at every tee every putt was putted with sweaty hands...and I was scared out of my mind...
I thought I was beginning to play this game pretty good... Got me an exemption to move up a flight.. And it all came crashing down in a matter of 18 holes...
WAY TO PUT ME IN MY PLACE... HA HA HA HA HA
Outstanding work sir, just outstanding.... Loved every second of my rounds on Hoodoo..

Yep, a tough course doesn't mean it's a naff course.
Tbh, it's not great on the XB1 with a fair few frame rate issues but that's not the designer's fault.
Would love to play Hoodoo on a PC as I bet it looks and plays superb.
Well done Doc!

The course is border line unplayable on ps4.
Lag is horrendous.

I gave a few holes of this course some practice. I am glad I moved up to Web.com, because I would not liked to have played this one over 4 rounds for sure.

The course is border line unplayable on ps4. Lag is horrendous. It does feel like this game is designed for a PC unfortunately. Why these 'next gen' consoles can't cope is silly. They were way to underpowered on release imo.

I may have broken a controller last night due to my frustration with this course. It's devilishly hard and makes me takes risks that I know are stupid. Obviously I take them anyway.
1st round -2 2nd round +6 (Started with birdies) 3rd round +8 after 7/8 holes. Had to save and leave it there. Will continue it later.
The one hole I struggle with is the 4th. If I flop it, pitch towards the flag, it just spins back sometime further behind me than where I started. My girlfriend just laughed......

I had more lag on R2 than R1 but it wasn't exceptional- on PS4

Thanks for the post Terry! It really made my morning. I really wanted to get people out of their comfort level with this one, miss hits are punished, but good play is rewarded with (relatively) easy putts if you can keep it close and on the correct tier. I understand some of the frustration people have with the difficultly, but I designed it for my skill level. If I can shoot even par on Hoodoo, I've had a good round (I finished the tourney +1 by the way). I'm sorry to hear about the framerate issues on console, but I'm a PC player, and I won't dumb down something for an inferior system (not playing the PC master race card here, just a simple truth). I don't own a "next gen" (lol) console, and probably won't, so I'm sorry for the performance issues I've been hearing, but they seem to be affecting certain players much more than others. I have watched a few videos/streams of people playing on consoles with NO issues (except around hole 15 for some reason). Thanks to all who played and commented, both good and bad! Don't let Hoodoo bite you too hard. She can be tamed.

Ah yes, this hole has given people many issues. The pin is completely fair, if you play it the correct way. First, if you are using the flop shot or the pitch shot, do not loft your club way up, and hit 100%....you will spin back off of the green back to your feet. You need to play a finesse shot, a 60-75% shot, that will die when it lands, NOT spin back 10 feet. If you put too much spin/loft on this approach, you will roll back off the front of the green. Play it correctly, and its an easy up and down. Play it with too much loft, and you'll be punished and likely get frustrated (and probably rate the course low )

THREE TIMES.... then I did as you suggested there..
The fourth ripped me a new one several times.. that tee shot... with the elevation I was never comfortable with... I believe this was the hole I hit it OB three straight times....LOL

I have watched a few videos/streams of people playing on consoles with NO issues (except around hole 15 for some reason). I want to clarify this statement just a bit. I design my work to play as smoothly as possible on my low-end PC. I assumed that if my low end machine can get 30-50 FPS, it would play fine on the consoles. I don't develop my work specifically to break performance on those, but I won't reduce the look I'm going for if it is playing just fine on my machine. Keeping things smooth is in the back of my mind, but I don't specifically design for play on consoles, is what I was trying to say. Again, sorry about poor performance that I'm hearing, but again...I think its been varying from system to system. Most players have had no complaints about performance, while others seem to have troubles.

Thought it was a terrific course, probably too hard for the varying skill levels of the CC but I enjoyed it.
Wasn't a fan of the firm fairways/soft green combo though and OB overkill but in general was a fantastic course. Really had to think your way around. Didn't have any lag problemos on ps4. Shot 65/69/67/74.

I loved this course. I was frustrated I didn't start well but I knew there were birdies out there. R1 +4
I started round 2 positively and got to the 10th -4 and playing well. I walked off the 10th green +3 having made a 12. My drive was straight and long....too long. My second shot to the tenth hit the fence that runs across the hole and bounced left down the cliff. What a nightmare! Managed to get in at level par.
3rd round was what round 2 should have been and I posted a nice -7.
I tried to attack round 4 having had a good start to my CC journey with 2 top 10's including a victory in CC-D. I wanted to maintain my good placings and hoped to get a top 25 and aimed to finish the tourney around -10......
WRONG!!!
R4 ended with a +4 and resulted in me finishing +1 after 4 rounds. I was left frustrated knowing I was capable of much better but... What a journey I had on the Hoodoo Hills course. A real gem.
If people play well this week I think someone can get to -30. Unfortunately for me, this week.... It isn't me.
Good luck folks!
