Thanks man. I agree with you, the hole lengths on the 4's and the green speeds are an issue. I honestly appreciate the feedback. I was just saying some of that stuff is totally preference.

Some of it might be preference, but it's really easy to claim that as the reason and ignore the feedback. I hear it a lot with reviewing or judging - 'it's just opinion', whereas often it's based on a lot of conventional wisdom and experience that the designer may not have. The answer you received is a fair one: cluttering tee boxes generally doesn't work and clean sightlines is a requirement for all Tour Worthy courses.
I appreciate wanting to defend decisions and I think this might be wording. If you come in and ask for feedback, it's generally best to not be seen to argue the toss, as that often looks like sour grapes.
P.S. Canuck's tee boxes also suck. He knows this.

Who said I wasn't taking his advice?? I guess I am the loser here... Sorry I think mattyfromcanada means in general, some people do take advice from lovely people like say sroel908 and try improve from it, but there are a worrying amount of people that don’t take “criticisms” well which doesn’t benefit anyone.

Yeah my apologies if it looked like I was arguing the toss. Like you said, just explaining my thoughts. I come here for honest feedback and appreciate when I get it. I don't want to be Mr. Sour Grapes over here, that was not my intent. Just didn't really appreciate Mattys comments saying "its my loss" for not accepting the critiques.

Sorry guys, I didn't mean to be hostile at all. I love you all. I realize that it did seem like I was getting somewhat defensive, and for that, I am sorry. Without this group, I wouldn't be half the designer I am today. I mean, if I look at my first publish compared to my most recent, there is no debating I have improved in every area of the process. And that is in large part due to the feedback I have gotten here.

Unfortunately I don't have it in my designer listing.🙃 You must have created two accounts for whatever reason. If you don't want that one account with the one course (Tyro Murum) that was previously submitted then maybe you can request a ticket with that email that is associated to get it removed, then submit the course with the current/newer account?

KITSAULT HEIGHTS Curious why it wasn’t approved? Just played here, gold tees, pin 1, default conditions. I am not a reviewer, but like you, am a ranger and see the tour courses that come thru. Hole 1 is totally unintentionally blind off the tee, due to the other tee boxes in front of it being higher up than the ones I'm hitting from. No fairway or fairway bunkers are visible. Bunkers are all simple shapes dropped thru multiple surfaces and are not sculpted all that well. The green is an odd shape and has random internal slopes that are kind of moving in many different directions. Honestly, the first hole issues are enough to put it into not approved, IMO. I kept playing, but similar issues continued, and others popped up, too: - Hole 3 had yellow in the entire 9-box on default speeds, so that would make it very challenging to use on tour. - Hole 4 had a strange hump of land just beyond the water on approach to the green. The hole also has a pin location that is on a crowned area with orange and yellow in the 9-box. - Hole 5 has a bunker in front of the green that has a high side toward the tee box, making it completely hidden from the golfer's view. - Hole 6 pin location is again not usable. Orange and yellow within one box of the cup. - Hole 7 pin location is also "illegal". - Hole 9 has an odd pond/puddle? placed right in front of the tee box. Stopped after 9 holes...there's some good environmental stuff here, but a lot of technical things (surfacing, bunkering, sculpting, etc ) need to be worked on. Watch the b101 video that's in the first post of the thread, that should help a lot.
