Wild Dunes - Not Approved
A bit more attention to detail is needed. Some planting was directly on fairway surfaces, and the transitions from fairway to green were too sharp. Hole playability needed some work, some very narrow fairways.
The noon lighting didn't help as well, as reading the greens was very hard to do.

Peoria Valley GC - Not Approved
The course is dead flat. Bunker textures are also dropped directly into fairway textures which is a no no. The choice of texture colors mixed with the noon lighting was just too harsh as well.

B101 my was Peoria Valley GC
Just loaded it up, and it's really not even close at all to being approved. Matt was rather polite about its faults - would STRONGLY suggest you look at the videos and links regularly provided in this thread, because you need to change a LOT of things to get an approval.

Then what is it going to take to get my next course approved Some self awareness, and a lot more time spent in designer working on your skills. The CrazyCanuck1985 tutorials are a good place to start. Not to sound too harsh, but this course was not even close. I don't even think there was a foot of elevation on the entire course, and all the bunkers and probably the greens were single stock shape brushes. Play the best courses in the game and study what they do well, then try to apply some of that to your own designs.

Archer Hills GC - not approved
extremely punitive design style (fairways barely exceeding 10-15 yards wide in areas, extreme shot shaping required off most tees) scale issues (unusually small greens, inconsistency in sizing, greens are smaller than even pebble beach greens) Consistent unintentional blindness (inability to see fairway off the tee, inability to see greens on approach shots or hazards)

Kingsthorne Park GC - not approved
lots of positives here with good planting and a nice parkland feel.
Surfacing issues (oddly wobbly fairway edges, wobbly bunker edges) scale issues (unusually small greens, inconsistency in sizing, greens are smaller than even pebble beach greens) Lumpy, and sometimes bulbous tee boxes (I dont usually scrutinize these too harshly but it was visibly lumpy on tees like hole 11) some general sculpting and blindness issues but nothing to crazy.
This course shows promise, Im sure the next one will be a great one

Ladybower Golf Club - not approved
the game allows you to make greens that are super slow but I advise against it, from a playability perspective, 118ft greens area nightmare and for kicks I attempted to play this course on faster greens and it was straight up unplayable. I would not publish greens speeds lower than 144ft. This isnt a definite rule but is strongly recommended.
general sculpting issues (mainly in bunkers) throughout the course minor blindness issues. If you work on the greens and bunkers a bit more you would easily have a solid course!
