I wish I'd find the time to play those "speed events", but actually, there's no way. Crap!

Didn't time it like I did the previous round (using phone stopwatch), but I think I'll probably have a decent time. However, I rushed my swings too much and ended up with a lot of 85-95 swings. I don't normally do that but there's this urge to rush the swing which doesn't generate the proper power. Good news is that I got an ace on 8! Bad news is that it's not in my PS4 auto-record, and obviously I didn't want to take the time to save the replay

This speed golf stuff is awesome! Wish I would have timed myself. I feel like my pace was quite quick, shot a decent -6. Hopefully that turns out well. Fun course for this type of competition. I wish we had one of these tourneys every day! Had a great time.

Congratulations to coruler2! An excellent score backed up with a fast time. I will post some pretty graphs in a bit, and then it's on to Week 3! Thanks to everyone who played, and hopefully you'll spread the word so we can increase the turnout again for next week. Please feel free to post any suggestions or comments below as well.

I wish I'd find the time to play those "speed events", but actually, there's no way. Crap! sweet irony. I also need to make a note, I keep missing these. I tried to get on last night to do it, but totally forgot it was Tues afternoon.

OK people, it's graph time! Top 20: scores and times - not the prettiest graph but it will do for now. Top 20: seconds per stroke - some different strategies on display here; very quick but many strokes? or slow and fewer strokes. Hole difficulty - everyone's stats are included here as you all did a good job round this course, no rounds miles over par. I take requests if you want to see more

Wow I was slooowwwww. Had a couple torturous rolls and my round was generally sloppy... guess that adds up to a 20+ minute round.
That stroke speed graph is awesome.

What's that? You want more speed golf? Well you're in luck, because Week 3 starts now!
This week we will be playing Gewella Golf Club by mikemike3000. An easier track than last week, but a really great looking course. You'll have to be quick round here though if you want to win.
You can find the challenge under Tours, named "speed-golf-w3".
Rules
* Your time starts when you sink the putt on the warmup hole. * Your time ends when you sink the putt at the end of the main round. * Each stroke you take adds 20 seconds to your time. * The winner is the person with the lowest combined time.
We have a warmup hole because timestamps are taken at the end of each round; we then take the difference between the two rounds. This does mean you should try to race through the menu after you've completed the warmup hole, it shouldn't take more than a few seconds.
This challenge will run for 5 days, until Tuesday evening.
Good luck and have fun!
PC: Yes PS4/XB1: Will post when they're up, check below.

Wow... a score of -4 would have placed me into the 9th spot without the time. With my time at 22:30, I go down 20 spots! I went through the menus between each holes as fast as I could. The only place I felt that I lost time was on about three different green approach situations where I had to watch the ball roll around for 15-20 seconds before stopping. When prepping for a shot, I take no more than 5 or 10 seconds to calculate the club and percentages. Assuming the fastest guys don't take any time to choose and swing and I take 10 seconds per hole, that's 3 more minutes right there. So even accounting for those 4 minutes, I'm still at least a minute off of the fastest time!
I wonder what I'm doing wrong!

Hmmm, I feel like I'm playing as fast as I can, but my times suck. Are you guys aiming at all?
