Do I need to keep my own time or submit a score anywhere?
You get time deducted for strokes under par? How does it work?
Sign up anywhere, or just log on and play?
No need to sign up anywhere. You just log on and play. Simple as that  You also don't need to submit any score. Fuzion get's the times and scores from the API that Tim has. For every stroke you take 20 seconds are added to your time. E.g. you shoot 70 and that round takes 15 minutes, your total time will be 38:20. |

Right I recorded my first speed golf attempt. Was fun. Think I was too focused on speed rather than lining shots up.

Delete the sample text. change the time to something really long so when you stretch out the track it doesn't loop. Then right click on the text track and choose media fx - add sony timecode Screen of my vegas setup |

That's awesome!
And I agree, it's tricky to find the balance between shooting blind and quick versus taking your time to find the perfect spots. (I guess ideally one would play beforehand and memorize the places to aim on each hole but I'm not one to do that...)

I don't see myself in W6-results. Any ideas why? Those are week 6 results, as you said. The first week that you have played is Week 7, which ends tonight. Hopefully the results will be up for this week on Tuesday/Wednesday. I'm sorry... mixed up the weeks!  |

I just realised I made a mistake in my code when adding the corrections to the times of PS4 and XB1 players (for Week 6). This has been fixed and I will post it below. You should see now that console players have had their positions improved. The plots have been corrected in the original results post.
Week 7 results will hopefully be out soon, Week 8 will start in a few hours.

Welcome to Week 8 of the Speed Golf.
This week we will be playing Powderfinger G.C. by rdrucken_0. This is still one of the best desert courses ever to be made on The Golf Club, and should give some newer players the chance to put some good speed golf rounds in.
You can find the challenge under Tours, named "speed-golf-w8".
Results from Week 7 will be up shortly.

Rules
* Your time starts when you sink the putt on the warmup hole.
* Your time ends when you sink the putt at the end of the main round.
* Each stroke you take adds 20 seconds to your time.
* The winner is the person with the lowest combined time.
* We have a warmup hole because timestamps are taken at the end of each round; we then take the difference between the two rounds. This does mean you should try to race through the menu after you've completed the warmup hole, it shouldn't take more than a few seconds.
* You do not have to track your time yourself, I will take your score and time from the API.
* The challenge will run until Tuesday morning, and results announced later on Tuesday.
* Available on all platforms!
* A time correction is applied for consoles to compensate for the slower loading times: PS4 -15 seconds; XB1 -20 seconds.

Did manage to ace the 7th hole in a cross wind...figured I was shooting so bad I had time to stop and favourite the shot so I could watch it again!

Lol Doyley, it's supposed to be a speed golf challenge, not admire your golf shot challenge!  Nice shot though, I have a feeling everyone will be struggling in these winds. I picked the course to have an easy week as well! |

I managed to shoot 70 (-1) Had your ghost on Doyley although i wasn't paying attention I timed my round around the 17:19 mark. |

-3 for me and about 18 minutes. Like the course and sunk a couple of 30 foot putts which really helped.
